^^Shut up tons of fun.^^

Caldwell...hop over to Clubwrx and read up. You'll find answers to most questions there.

Biggest plus for me is the awd. It was the main thing I bought it for. The fact its turbo was a bonus.

Key is here, he wants something he can afford. Not something he has to whine to his friends about that he CAN'T afford....

ZING!

JET02WRX - you are exactly right - i want something that is newer that i can afford yet at the same time have something that i enjoy driving !!!

and i would like to be able to go to the track with my cuz once in a while, he has a 03 VW GTI VR6 ( 235 FWHP ) that i would just love to beat in a time attack run for a change lol...

TWASTHEGLOW - i did test drive on the other day, but i really didnt get a chance to get out of 3rd gear, to really experience the boost kick in an get a lil higher in the RPM's - by no means was i trying to redline it but, i think you get whatim trying to say

**** if i get a WRX all i want to get out of it is about 250 - 260 AWHP and good handling - nothing more - thats more than enough power for me to enjoy the car

Make sure the trans is good in that WRX, the 02-03 had weak trans. I mean, you can have fun with it, but if your're at the track all the time, and doing launches everyday, you'll kill it quickly.

One thing to ask yourself, is do you like the 02-03 bugeye style? The 04-05 hawkeye style can be had for about the same price, and they have better trans in them.

Regardless, WRXs can be modded with simple bolt on parts, inexpensive engine management, and be made to go as fast as a modded STi.

Both the WRX and STi are very reliable and can take a good beating, ohhh and if you ever get hit hard by another car, you'll walk away from the accident and the other driver WILL NOT, unless they're driving a 77 Caddy Eldorado

I don't drive a WRX, but I will say that a Subaru is pretty much at the top of the food chain when it comes to an all season performance car. WRX's can be modded to be quick litter fudgers.

I'm putting my flame-retardant suit on.... but I heard that WRXs are susceptible to a 3rd cylinder misfire condition... my buddy who had a modded wrx said he had that issue when i brought it up to him... 2 years ago that is.

anyone?

this is funny that wrx's have an issue because it happened to your buddy. thats just like someone saying that wrx's tires are crap because my buddy put a nail through his. if you do super lightened flywheels, or light crank pulleys you may have misfire codes.
