SRT Track Experience; MOAR PICS, 56k suck ma balls

One pic for now... I've got a crap load more to go through. But this, after a very quick look through what I got, was my favorite. Love that color...

FYI, my camera is a technologically ancient Pentax Optio 60 6.0 megapixel... it was a hand-me-down. I set it to auto everything and to take three pics in a row in the hopes that I would get some decent pics...

if it happens anytime soon it will be...

after spending the day doing this, I got a whole new appreciation for my car and wanting to put money into it... I was thinking 1-2k in engine performance getting a solid, and daily driveable 300whp (ie: no boost creep), and spending more money getting the car set up for autocross... r-comps, lightweight rims, suspension upgrades...

Honestly, I had more fun at the first SRT Track Experience when the Skip Barber racing school held it and I was out at Beaver Run, this was in 06. This year the Tom Petty Racing School is handling things and i was at Englishtown... but my enjoyability was probably due more so to the tracks than the instructors.

I'll post something up about the different vehicles later as I have some errands to run this morning. Like getting my truck registered as a classic finally...

but cereal... i should have it on the road next spring/summer. Its going into the garage soon... get the brakes squared away, get the engine tuned and the tapping taking care of... and probably relocate the gas tank from behind the seats to under the bed

you wouldn't lol @ the jeep if you saw it perform...

It handles fantastically well, for an suv. We got to play with it on the autocross as well. It did pretty well on a very tight course and was very responsive. I didn't feel like I was driving in a jeep... in fact I think it was a nicer ride than the caliber...

The caliber... just not as much stupid fun as the neon srt-4. I felt like I was in an suv (which is funny b/c i didn't feel that way in the jeep). While it handles well, you feel tall in it...

We took one on the road course as well... and it just felt like poo... not many in the group wanted a second run in one. the instructors ended up pulling them off to the side and keeping the 300, magnum and charger on the course. The caliber didn't feel like it really accelerated quickly enough, especially with the ESP turned on (we weren't allowed to turn it off on any vehicle)

We didn't get to take the Jeep on the road course, but the instructors were giving rides in them. I, unfortunately, was not able to get in one. But they looked amazing out there. And were probably more fun than the charger based vehicles.
