The Fucus is getting some chassis and suspension love

At 122,000 Miles, I figured it would be a good idea to replace control arms and ball joints with an aggressive suspension. Still missing the rear lower arms, some new boots and bump stops. But as you can tell, just got completely adjustable and am super psyched to get this on this weekend and hit the autocross!

And your leaving the front svt sway in? Which is 21? Should be a nice match. I'm gonna be picking parts up so I can do the same this winter.

How are those AGX's??? I've been leaning towards Tokiko D-Spec's for my Cobra because they have a wider range of adjustability which is nice as I run it at Atco from time to time, but I've always wondered how those KYB's are.

Well I just put the suspension on. I will have a better review as the weeks go by and I get a good camber setting and the springs settle.

AGX are value. The kit I have arent meant for the drop or the spring rate I am using. They were just the most affordable adjustable shocks out there for my car. But with that said. A lot of owners in the focus world have had some great experiences with these shocks. Cant promise you anything though. Mustangs and Foci are worlds apart, just under one emblem

Shook your car at the meet tonight Tim. Felt awesome. It'll be cool to hear how they are once it's settled.

Good luck with those springs, H&Rs sag with the best of them although they say they never settle. At least on VWs, they all get ass sag after a year

The H&R Race springs so far are money. And a lot of Focus owners keep them for several years without fade. The AGXs will die within 2 years. Not meant for the drop or spring rates of the race springs. But couldnt afford Koni Yellows or Bilsteins so AGX will be satisfactory till they sh!t the bed.

Right now my biggest PIA are my seats. I keep sliding past the boulsters and spend too much effort trying to keep my body from hitting the door. So once i get that settled and some decent race compound tires, the car should be money for track and autox

How'd that install go? I remember doing mine was a pita, all the bolts were seized. I hate working on american cars. Also 122,000 miles is impressive, I sold mine with 51k and I felt I was pushing it. I did beat the **** out of that car on a daily basis, and it loved every second of it, except on really hot days.

I swapped Koni's / Eibach's on to the Focus in a few hours, which also included heading to the shop to install the springs. I thought it went really well for having just about 100k. There was only one bolt that was a PITA, but we got it off with no real problems.

Regretting not buying a new set of H&R springs. Hopefully this winter.

Tim will you be at South Jersey on Sunday?
