my buddy and i thought how fun it would be to have a mid night run through manhattan. maybe start on the turnpike and ride up thru the lincoln down the west side and come out the holland and end somewhere back in jersey. u know traffic is a bitch in nyc so the ideal time to do it would be in the early hours of the day. thinkin 12 or 1a something along those lines. lookin for some suggestions, ideas, participants. already have 3 people/ 3 cars down for the ride. what do u think?

a bunch of us miata owners have done it, 30miatas cruising through NY down broadway in times square...so many tourists asking what type of cars and taking pictures lol was cool

i would definantly be down and can probaly get a few others to take the drive with me, (cars and passangers). it would need alot of time and planning to make it succesfull.

cb's or everyone haivng good walkie talkies help, and have a place to meet up for food after so if people get separated they can just go to the last destination. and meet up, bring lots of cameras so passengers can jump out at stop lights and take pics of the HUUGGE train.

ALSO if you get somehow get decals for everyone to put in the same corner of the window(passenger side) top so when people see the cars they realize we are all together and the pics will show everyones organization skills lol

im lovin the enthusiasm here. ive posted same thread on 2 other forums and just got alot of negative vibe. i like the pic idea. i like the decal idea. i also agree on the meet place start and stop. maybe finish up at a diner somewhere. some eggs and toast at the finish line. as long as u arrive to the meet place on time anyone can go. maybe it should be broken down into groups and each group can keep track of themselves. <depending on how many people show> me and my 2 friends have nextel. we can link with anyone else who has it. maybe we should start getting a head count to see what we'll need to do. 8 is alot different then 30.

im thinkin a weekend thing. friday/saturday night. prolly more people available on weekends. more action on weekends anyway.

i did a qwik count of those that said they'd be down or possible down. im at 19 with one member that says he will prolly come with a few.<drivers n riders> that 60,000 members! theres only 20,000 cops in the whole town!!!! can u dig it?? caaaaannnnn uuuuuuu diiiiigggg iiiiiittttt!!!!!!

I'd be down but like ppl are saying it will take a lot of prep work and orginization.
I think I'd be cool as the end of the summer kinda blow out thing.
