Just wondering where you guys get most of your music for you IPods/MP players? Do you buy or use other means? I don't have any kind of portable music player and have been thinking about getting one since the radio sucks anymore.

I got most of my non-electronica from my own cd collection. The rest I got from transferring off of a friends mp3 player. Then I got my brother to give me his collection of electronica mp3s (3 dvds worth). Since then, just the few cds I might buy, or my wife might buy. I now have 33.2gb of mp3 files. I also rip at high bitrates (192+)

Friends and DirectConnect. DirectConnect is easily the best thing I've ever used for filesharing, even moreso than BitTorrent.

i use limewire as well. its very fast for music, plus you can get the crack code and dl the turbocharged version for free from their own site. i used to use bit torrent for my xbox games, but it was too slow. i thought they got shut down, but i guess not tho.

you put in a band you like and it just starts up a 'radio station' with other music you'd probably like. i already found a bunch of new stuff i'm into...

Pandora is very cool. I have had an account since the preview, and the new features make it better. It was only bad when they launced and then required subscriptions. Now it is available free with ads, or by subscription without them.
