Took some nice pictures

It was gorgeous out the other day, and since I recently washed my car I thought I would take the opportunity to snap some pictures. I really liked the location for these pics. Obviously, I am not a pro and there is always room for improvement, but some of these came out nice. I used my Mom's D70 to take them. They were only resized, not edited.

Enjoy.

Thanks .
Just another newer, low mileage 850 Turbo engine.

My current engine has low compression due to bad valve seals and piston rings. Its got 182k on it now. The "new" engine only has 82k.

I am hoping that after the new engine goes in I will break into the 13's and trap 100. My last run at Cecil was 14.6 @ 98mph with a 60' of 2.67. That was on low compression though.

First thing I was taught in automotive photography - no shots on the grass! Leave that for the SUVs.

Looking good man, I meant to ask you about the engine situation. Thinking of doing anything to the spare that you'll have laying around now?

I wanted to build the old one, but this whole ordeal has cost me so much money so far that I would rather just sell it at this point. I also have no way of getting the engine to my house without paying my friend for gas to drive it to me, I have nowhere to store the engine, and no way to move the engine. A friend offered me $250 for the old engine, so I am going to let him have it.

In the future when I am able to buy a lift and an engine stand I am going to buy a busted engine and build it. I wouldn't want to do anything extreme, just have a reliable 300hp daily driver.

Car looks great! Really love the rims. But I'm a fan of wingless cars - clean lines and whatnot - have you ever thought about going wingless?

Thanks .

I have considered it, but I'm not sure how I feel about going wingless.
Here is a friends car sans wing:

Yeah you're right. It's kind of odd, since the trunk is so short on the car. But, I do kind of like it ... it sets the car off just enough. Eh.

Since it is a Volvo sedan, without the wing, it just looks too normal.

Nice unique car! Good luck with the engine swap.
