My new talon!!!

Well after the last one was wrecked i decided i wanted another one, picked this one up from another member wed. 90 TSI fwd
Heres what it looks like.

Mines the one on the right

Also the one on the right


The current mods are,

1g big rods
2g pistons
act 2600
act streetlite flywheel
550cc denso
walbro 190 fuel pump
kyb struts
prothan motor mounts-tranny mount
prothan control arm bushings
eibach springs
2.5" exhaust

This happened sat afternoon the act throw out bearing shattered

Waiting to see what i wanna do for the tranny thinking about a shep. Will have more pics to come soon!!

yeah i hear yah,i got fwd now too so idc,i realized i wasnt making a 9 sec car and really dont race from digs ever so fwd is fine

Im glad it broke now not when i was going to take it to the track, i rather rebuild it better for the next time

Thats weird that the bearing retainer broke like that?? Are the block to tranny dowels there??

does anyone know if i can just weld the piece back to the block, theres no hole its just that piece is needed for the tranny

The dowels go into 2 holes on the block. One in teh front and one towards the rear. I take it the front ear broke off?? If you stiff have the ear, the way to actually have it doen correctly is to have the trans out and weld the ear back on. When there is no doel present the trans will rock back and forth from the tq. With the ear broken off it will cause the trans to flex and rock.

It is definately something that will need attention.

Nice talon. My friend had a build awd turbo 1g but blew it up. He's currently rebuilding it, forget what turbo he is going with but it's pretty ****ing huge. Car was beast before, this should be pretty awesome. To make it better it's purple haha.
