well i admit i was going faster then is suggested at the turn, i was at the proper speed for the road (doing the speed limit or a hair more definitely not speeding)

what sealed my fate was dirt that had washed over the road from a previous nights monsoon

not making excuse's though if i would have crashed i still would have gotten a ticket (driving too fast for conditions)

yeah, not trying to give you a hard time over nothing... but you wrecked one car this way and now you're rolling the dice again? There are a lot of 35 and 40 mph local roads around here... none of which you can safely make a turn at an intersection without slowing down substantially.
Just be safe out there... leave the racing for the track.

AWD, another reason why I'll never see your taillights.

To be honest I'm amazed you had the where-with-all to not freak and hit the brake. That's what I do, balance the slide with the steering and bleed speed off with the brakes til the rear grabs again. I know mashing the gas is correct, but I'm on the brake without even thinking. You've gotta have some massive balls to power out of a slide.

not saying its ok to rip turns on public roads, but i think its more about instincts than massive nuts. after my coilovers were intalled i took a sharp turn too hard and when i felt the rear sliding, i mashed the gas and didnt smack the curb median. i felt like a jackass but during the split second of panic the only thing i thought of was dont brake
