My brother took delivery of his G8 GT today. I tried to snap a few pictures in between the raindrops. I make no claims that i'm a good photographer, so yeah. I must say... it looks even better in person... The car is really nice. Its definately a step up from the newer GTO's. One thing i hadn't read is that the battery has been relocated to the trunk.
As you can see from the one picture of the front, the fender flares are quite dramatic. The wheels are 19's.
I think GM will sell many more of these than they did the GTO. This is definately the best bang for the buck car out right now if you played your cards right. He got 1000 discount for owning another GM car, and had 3500 cash built up on his GM card... so the out the door price for him was 28K!!!!! And in a odd occurance....his license plate just happened to come out with GXP on it.... thats no personalized plate...standard issue.

Lol. Look at the engine and the way it sits.

I'm so glad these cars are out, they are super hot and you can't go wrong with an LS series engine.

Can't wait to see them in manual.

As far as I have seen the only model to be released with the 6mt is the GXP with the 6.2 LS3 400+hp mmmmmmm!

This is a awesome sedan, kudos to your bro- I only wish they would class the dash & console up a bit. I can easily over look it, but I need to complain about something

Haha....yeah...well i guess to keep it >40K they have to skimp on something... As long as it doesn't rattle, thats all he's concerned with and its what i DESPISED about my WS6.

Actually its not as bad as it looks! Its clear access to ALL eight plugs....unlike the F'ing Fbodies...

A guy at work just got a white one, I am definitely a fan!

I didn't realize the battery's were located in trunk, thats odd.

Very nice car that can definitely benefit from a manual trans. If they aren't out yet, I would have waited for one.

Not out yet... GXP version is supposed be a 6mt and have a bigger V8...but a larger price tag to go along with it...

For a DD family commuter, auto stick is more than adequate...but hey to each his own right?

Very nice car and what a great purchase your brother made. I think it's a great step up for GM. I don' t know why everyone would love a manual. I would stick with an automatic haha.

those cars are definitely the best for the money. I wouldn't be satisfied driving an automatic though.
