What are your thoughts about the 2005 civic si?

Looking at one, want to see what other people think about them.

helluvalot better than the tC I think.

Its not the best platform to start with if u want to mod, but since you dont want to mod its a good car. 2 liter engine has good power but still offers good mpg, its reliable (honda, duh), and i think its a very functional car, you can get all your **** inside, park it easily, drive it easily, and its certainly a lot of fun to drive.

Its doesnt have a warranty, the last year they made them was 2001, good luck finding one with low enough miles to get a warranty with it.

Dont worry about it, the car is sold.

maybe to you, but critics say otherwise, and so do I. Not the best Si ever made, but its enough fun to not get you in trouble.

In do respect cleanneon, working at a dealership does not make you an automotive connoisseur. My thoughts are, of course a GSR is going to be more fun to drive. GSR's handel awesome, have a decent power to weight ration, and are well balanced. I would take a gsr over a Si anyday of the week. However, for a daily beat to get you from point a to point B the civic probably suits your needs better.

Not saying it does, but I am allowed to voice my opinion on the matter just as teggs is, and like you, and I can disagree with you guys all day long. Ive driven both, and performance wise I prefer the GS-r but the EP3 is still plenty fun to drive, and is nicer all around I think because it has a nicer interior, and felt more solid, you can tell that its a newer car just in the smoothness of the engine and trans, the ride, everything. I would not get either one of them, but I am simply telling my friend what I think.

P.S. Proper spelling helps to make a point.

How much to the specs go for nowadays?? A good srt-4 stock with decent miles can be had for around 14k sometimes less
