Sad to say that TriStateTuners will be going offline sometime around Oct. 15, 2024. After 20 years online, times have changed and its no secret that the forum's activity level has slowed to a crawl. Its been an incredible run with so many amazing friendships formed and community events held, plus all of the technical knowledge and entertainment shared online. I know I'm not the only one who has had both their personal and professional life impacted and improved significantly from this community, and I'm happy to have been a part of something so special. Thank you to so many people who volunteered to the community -- the entire moderating team, behind the scenes IT support, those who organized events, and everyone who contributed online to this unique local car community. I hope that many years after the prime of TST, many of you are still enjoying cars even if we are all "grown up" now. Please take the time to revisit your member journal and reminisce, or browse any other parts of the forum. Maybe reach out to an old friend or two and make plans to grab dinner and catch up. The timeline may change slightly but I wanted to get this notice up as quickly as possible to give everyone a bit of advance notice. Thanks for everything, TROLL

Evening shop work

What I'm looking for is for a place that is open late (or is willing to be open late) I want to get some shop experience working on cars (I don't mind a regular mechanic type of thing) in addition to my 5 years of experience as a shade-tree guy. I'm not looking to do oil changes! My goal is to get the required work experience to become ASE ceritfied. Again, I'm not some kid looking for a job, this would be more of a past time to me (no, that doesn't mean free). I would say that this is a perfect chance for a shop to stay open late and pushing extra work through since I'm willing to work until 10pm on most days. I wouldn't mind learning body work too...
