Where to get prints made?

I'd like to have several standard paper size and larger prints made up.

Where does everyone get theirs done?

I used to be a Tech for Kodak digital labs, if you tell me the area you live I can tell you some good places most likely.. Wegmans has a noritsu 3011 which is an all digital transfer with chemical process. It works pretty well and wegmans lab people usually have as much experience as the photo chain places. They also have great prices and can do up to 8x10 on the spot..

i used http://www.mpix.com/ and was very happy with them, or if you search for photo lab reviews, etc. you'll find a handful of others out there with good ratings as well.

Fuji Labs at target, walgreens, wal mart, ect. have people operating those labs with next to zero training at all. They try to make they're systems idiot proof for that reason but people always seem to mess up something. Then it takes them forever to get someone out there and fix it. I'd say 50% of those labs in the philly area are doing film with contaminated chemistry and then trying to correct for it when printing..Any CVS with a Noritsu 3011 will have well trained operators and are considered to be some of the best labs labs around even among private camera shops, and are teasted and calibrated on a daily basis..

I use Costco for both small and large prints.

Most others are happy with them, also

I know a few pro's who use Costco for personal prints and have great things to say. I've used Costco and mpix.com and both gave good prints quickly.

For 4x5's to put in family photo albums and stuff, Walgreens is fine. You can also find lots of promotional offers for online places that will give 100 free 4x5's on your first order, so that's not a bad idea.

You have more experience with this then me, but when I worked at Ritz the Fuji equipment we used was calibrated daily as well. I'm right with you on the training of operators though!

I usually take my stuff to Ritz camera since I still have some friends that work there, and I know they know what they're doing.

i've always gone to ritz too and i order online and pick up at whatever store is closest. the prices were actually cheaper to order from online and go pick up than actually going into the store to get the print made first
