I am looking to pick up and Evo in the next week or so. ONly problem is I dont know any good forums or places to find one. Looking for an 03-04. Any help at all would be good. Thanks

As far as getting one EvoM is the way to go or good old autotrader. As far as a forum to ask questions evotuners.net is where you want to go. As far as getting an 03-04 they are the ones who will be beaten the most so be carefull when purchasing. Many owners when trading in will revert back to stock and make things worse.

or do what i do and buy a warranty too and have the dealership recognize it's modded when you purchase it.

03-04 Just something with minor Mods need it as a DD around $20k

Anything for that price is gonna behigher in miles and more then likely beat, honestly this may not be what you wanna hear but buyin a higher mileage modded evo is a bad idea.

If you can spend a few extra dollars you may as well pick up a newer model (05 and up.) There are also a hand full of 9s out there in the high 20s. I have an ’03 and it’s been running superbly, however, the 03s and 04s probably did receive the bulk of the abuse from new drivers.

The only downfall of a 05 and up is the weak tranfer case, but most normal people won't have that problem. In honesty my opinion is buy something normal that you won't break bein an idiot ****in aroun in you dd and havin abroke dd and a non runnin race car. Trust me I speak first hand from bein a dumbass

The 05 transfer case is equally as strong as the 03 04, it just adds an active center diff..

Everyone I have talked to including shepherd has told me the acd equipped cars have a weak diff and I trust his opinion
