Virus Protection

So my McAfee is about to expire and I'm not sure if I want to renew it.

I have Malwarebytes and SpyBot on here now but I will need something to replace my virus protection.

Any suggestions?

All I run on my computer is the free version of Avast! and I have no issues even with downloading tons of turrents. It also isn't a resource whore like MacAfee and Nortin.

NOD32. It's well worth the money and it won't filter your internet through a lame firewall.

Avast is what I currently use. AVG free comes in 2nd.

Pretty much there is NEVER a perfect virus protection. Might as well use a free one then pay for it while at the same time getting infected at some point.

I suppose Avast is your best free option. Can't speak from experience though because I don't run AV.

Negative to all those.

Kaspersky. I've used it professionally and for my own use for years, and I recommend it to all my customers as well. http://usa.kaspersky.com/

I can tell you countless stories where customers computers were infected, and they used Norton, or AVG, or I could name several others, and those scanners would pick up 2 or 3 or sometimes none. I would install Kaspersky, and it would find and clean much more. At one point, it found 21 viruses on a customers computer, where their current one found 4 and could only clean 1 of them lol.
