so I'm checking out cobra's on ebay, cause I'm buying one in a few years...

so I just wanted to see about pricing and how an already built one would compare with a new challenger, cause its really one of those... or a cobra...

this is ugly as hell... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-...QQcmdZViewItem

i've always wanted one too. they're quick and nimble but they're aerodynamically challenged.

There's a reason why its 1 of 1 and its that god awful color combo. I love how it still has a warranty as well. Kinda surprising that it's only $44,800 tho.

that doesn't stop them from being one of the fastest production cars of all time

I'll probably end up just building one. 50k over 5-6 years instead of taking out a loan...

You should just pick up one of the kits instead of the ready made ones. I think you would enjoy the car much more that way, plus you could pick whatever you wanted.

Yeah I have always wanted one of those when I found out what they actually were. It seems to me like it will be cheaper in the long run to just build the thing, and you get to chose what options you want in it as far as motor, trans, etc. If you buy one, you get close to only half or 3/4 of what you want, unless you luck out and find the exact one your looking for.

You don't know me so I'll go easy

I've been a huuuuuge fan of these cars since I can remember. I've always loved the way they looked, then I was old enough to start researching the cars. I'm a huge Shelby fan, and a huge Cobra fan.

So yes, I realize this is a replica And yes, I realize the real deal goes for around half a million bucks.

To the rest... I'll just end up buying a factory five kit once I get a house w/ two car garage.

I've got my mind set on going as close to original as possible with the set up... ie: 427 side oiler crate motor from ford.
