Radar Detectors In Pa

I live in WHitehall, Pa. A couple months ago I was sitting on my work property showing one of the guys here my underbody kit, my sub system and the new rims I got and a Whitehall cop came over, parked in front of me and told me he was going to write me up because I was in noise pollution, the underbody kit was illegal to have on and my radar detector was illegal to have on the windshield, and if he saw it again he'd write me up. I understand the music, and the lights I though he could only get me for driving, but the radar detector I thought wasn't an issue. I had a cop pull me over for speeding using Vascar and I asked him he said the detector was okay to be there. I just curious if 1) he can harass me on Private Property and 2) if the radar detectors are illegal.

A Police officer can conduct an investigation. In this case the property you were on was open to the public, not yours, and not inside. Radar detectors are not illegal in PA unless there has been a Law change Im unaware of. As for mounting it on your widshield hes got you there you can not obstruct the view with anything. Title 75, section 4524

The Lights are an inspection violation.
