TTsupra911 finally ready for the 07 season

Alright well I figured it was kinda time I sat down and wrote one of these things out. Plus I'm kinda bored at work right now and figured what the heck. Anyways I've meet a few of the people on TST either auto-xing or at some of the few meets that I've actually managed to make. Living out in Lancaster county kinda limits the amount of meets I actually have a shot at attending. I do however work in Langhorne and make the long boring ass drive back and forth everyday between work and home. So everynow and then I do get a chance to stick around after work for a meet.

Anyways I guess I'll give a little bit of a background on how exactly I got to this point. To be 100% honest with you I'm really not quite sure how exactly I got involved with the tunning world or with cars in general. My dad isn't really into cars and anytime something needed done to one of our family vehicles it would be taken to the dealership to get fixed. He didn't even change his own oil, which IMO anyone can do with or without any mechanical knowledge. Also none of my close friends knew anything about cars and when I would begin talking about motors or cars in general I would get a dumb founded stare and I might as well have been talking to a brick wall. I guess the only resionable explination would be one of my co-workers at the time who first had a 95 Eclipse, and then shortly upgraded to a 94 Firebird Forumla and then later on a 98 Z-28.

In August of 2002 I bought my first car a 94 Ford Probe SE with a small loan from my parents. It was a 4 cyl automatic, with 48,000 miles on it. The interior and exterior where both spotless. So I finally get my lisence the first day (and when I say the first day I mean it. My birthday is April 11th) I can October 11, 2002. Needless to say though a week and a half later I bounced it off a telephone and totaled my car. I can also say though that I totaled the pole in the process . Now I needed a car quick and with my insurance money I paid off what little I owed my parents and bought a 92 Toyota Paseo (4 cyl 5 spd). I had the car for around 6 months when I blew the crankshaft due to not having any oil in the engine. So now I get to drop a new engine and clutch into the thing because it was my first stick car I was kinda hard on the clutch.

Fast forward to July of 2005. I had an internship with K Hovnanian Homes (I am still with them) and was getting tired of the Paseo. So I decided it was time to upgrade. I ended up buying a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT 6 spd with a lot of the basic work already done to the car (Full exhaust, headers, Intake, lowered, sways, strut tower bars, STS, Wheels and tires). Basically I made the exterior a little bit cleaner due to the previous owners lack of taste with some of the parts. Anyways the throw out bearing went on the car in December of 05. So naturally I upgrade the clutch and also opt to go with a light wieght flywheel as well. Unfortunatly Hyundai changed the specs of the flywheel mid production for the 03 models and I had the wrong flywheel installed. The car ran for about a month untill the flywheel chewed up my starter reveiling the problem. So in goes another new clutch (the dealership who removed my new clutch killed my pressure plate) and another flywheel. This time the correct one was in, but I was beginning to get tired of the car.

March 9, 2006 I bought my brand new 05 Black SRT-4. It only had 52 miles on it the night I left the dealership. I quickly got down to the track and was able to pull a best time of 13.9 bone stock on stock tires and then a 13.3 the same night on slicks

In May of 2006 though I wrecked my SRT on Rt. 1 south by clipping someone when I was going to change lanes. They where in my blind spot and I ended up scrapping my whole drivers side along the concrete barrior. I am still amazed to this day that I didn't catch someone else when I came off the wall. I am also extremely lucky that I was able to control my car coming off the wall, because my tires where screaming to break loose and my back end was all outta wack. I am still able to see on the barrior right where my car hit. It's on Rt. 1 South at on the on ramp for 213. Anyways heres some pics from the accident. I did no damage to the truck I clipped and somehow I didn't recieve a ticket or any point for the accident.

Due to the accident though I was able to get new wheels and tires. I ended up going with a set of Kazera KZ-B 17x7.5 wheels wrapped in Falken Azenis RT-615's. Right after the accident I also installed my Griffen FMIC and Maddog 80% throw reduction STS.

Now it was time for my SRT's first legitimate photo shoot by Chris(PA). I highly recommend that anyone who wants some high quality shoots done contact Chris and set it up. His photo's speak for themselves. Make sure you give him a hard time though about selling the SRT-4 and buying an RSX .

Soon after that I decided it was time to put my RT-615's to good use and started Auto-Crossing. Due to auto-xing my modding point of view quickly changed and I focused on suspension as well as performance. Here's some pics in action from June 24th to September October ish...

1st time out at Park City

I had one day in between down at Ripkin Stadium, but here's the next day at Park City. By this point in time I had finally installed my Mopar Stage 3 Coilovers and was putting them to good use...

The last event for the Susquehanna region up in Hershey at Giants Stadium.

and then the last auto-x of the year at Warminster and most recent picture of the SRT. This picture was taken by vwcorradokid. I wasn't even driving in this pic. I was letting Josh (piknockout) take it around to try and see what lines he was taking along with where I could make up some time.

And now that brings us to today. I'm looking into getting a dedicated set of wheels and tires just for auto-xing this year along with upgrading my brakes because my stock rotors are warped. Anyways here is the current mod list

Modifications

Engine-
AGP Wastegate actuator
AEM Short Ram Intake
Exhaust Depot 3" Dual Tip TBE (no cat/ no res)
Griffen FMIC
Mopar Rice plate
Turbo XS Dual Stage Boost Controller

Drivetrain-
Maddog 80% throw reduction STS
Boomba Motor Mounts and Tranny mount
B-Woody H-Brace and Traction Bars (Combination of both MM and Traction bars I have zero wheel hop)

Suspension-
Mopar Stage 3 Coilovers
P-Werks Tri-point RSTB
Kazera KZ-B 17x7.5 w/ 225/45/17 Falken Azenis Falken Ziex Ze 512 (Street tires/ Daily driving)
Enkie Or52 16x7 w/ 225/50/16 Falken Azenis RT-615 (Auto-x/ track duty only)

Misc.-
PTP Coil heat shield
Shortie Antenna
Painted to match Fiberglass S eyelids
Greddy Catch Can
Greddy Turbo Timer

I'm sure there's somthing I have forgotten to list, but right now my brain is fried and I need to get some work done. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed...

haha yup you got it. Yeah it sucks I live in Lancaster but work in Langhorne. Usually I'm able to catch a ride but when I don't it's 80 miles one way. Not to mention all the trips I've put on the car. 1 to Indianna, 1 to Pittsburg / Beave Run, Several to Baltimore, 1 to DC.

nahh unfortunately last year I got to into Auto-xing and stopped caring about the drag. If I can get ahold of some slicks again this year I will be going back down... I'll end up going back down at some point in time anyways, but we'll see how I do on street tires.

ohh yeah the new wheels for auto-xing. I'm still debating on getting them painted a little bit darker. 225/50/16 RT-615's will be here Friday

Enkei Or52 - 16 x 7 @ 16 lbs a piece. Edgeracing had a deal on them at 79 a piece so I couldn't resist.

I knew I would be modifying the car and didn't want to deal with the risk of them terminating it due to my modifications. I was half surprised to see the dealership do as much warranty work on the car as they did considering my mods

Finally ready to Auto-X

So tomorrow will be my first auto-x of the 2007 season. I'll be making my way down to Warminster tomorrow morning. Anyways here's some updated pics ready to race. The pics are of the car in auto-x mode only.
I recently installed a turbo XS dual stage boost controller, so hopefully I should have a little more traction while auto-xing. Before with my WGA there was no smoothness on the gas, so we'll see how it is tomorrow. I also finally bought an SAFC II from Munky, so it's only a matter of time until I start tuning.

Ohh yeah I finally got it tinted! 15% from Shades of Gray.
