In lieu of a horrible Phillies loss today, the Flyers start their 2007-2008 Season in 15 minutes up in Calgary.

How does everyone feel about the Flyers this year? They definitely have a solid squad, and a lot of leaders. I am freaking PUMPED for hockey season!!!!!!!!!!!

I am excited about the season but im still gonna be interested into see how they will do...they made alot of awesome changes but lets see tonight how much they really have improved...on paper and on the ice is two different things

I sure am pumped, but there still remains a lack of work ethic on the ice. I went to a preseason game, and watched as many as i could, and they are still not playing 60 minutes of solid hockey.
Shame tho, now that pitkanen and therian are gone, the fans are hecking hatcher. I think he has imporved a ton since his first year here, he has gotten faster, and is playing his defensive role nicely. There were more than a few times where he was the only man on a rush, with none of the forwards there to help him out.

Good job man, I was just about to start this thread.

I myself am PUMPED! The Flyers should be a contender this year, on paper they have a top notch squad. I really like what management did, added speed and grit so we they can play with any style team. Smith and Kukkonen really should help the defense a lot and it will allow Hatcher to face the 2nd line guys and not get smoked by the top liners any more, so I am looking for him to have a good year.

I wish I could watch the game tonight but I have a mens league hockey game so Ill have to miss this one.

P.S. Many hockey rinks don't have HD cams, the Rangers didn't even have them last year and they are a big market club.

Ah no I forgot they were starting today... I hope I can make it down to a game this year, I didn't get a chance to last season (not like I missed anything... but hey it's still fun).
