fbpb16em1's civic: built CTR almost done

I already have small mods done. neuspeed spec r springs, dc header, skunk2catback, ebay intake, fidanza stage 3 clutch, fidanza 7lbs flywheel, jdm fenders, CF invader hood, CTR replica headlights, konig minuz wheels. It is a B16B. The motor is getting manley 10.3:1 comp pistons, eagle rods, bored .20 over, decked for compression, supertech dual valvesprings, supertech titanium retainers, supertech high compression valves, PNP head, racing valve job, skunk2 stage 3 cams, rc 440cc injectors. Hopefully the motor is in and John at JK Tuning can have it tuned on chrome with a p28 ecu in 3-4 weeks. That is all I can think of right now if I remember more I'll post it.

Sorry they are so big, I don't know how to make them smaller.

I want to see how much I can get out of a b16 all motor. I just wanna to prove everybody that told me I am an idiot wrong. It won't be the fastest car out there but it will be respectable.

Looking good. I have a soft spot for Black Si's tho. Someday I'll own another one. Whats with the hood tho? Why does it stick up in the back?!? Got any better shots of the rims?!?

I agree on the hood looking goofey.

But the rest of the car is nice.

A slightly built-up b16 and a tune should make that car move pretty good. Post up some track times once you get there.

So... you're putting all of that work into that engine and only using 10:3 compression and a DC sports header?

You need to rethink your build.

Otherwise it's a nice car, get rid of the washers on the hinges, you have no reason for them being there.

Yeah, why only 10.3:1? Thats like what the b16b is stock haha. If you want it to really move, especially with the stage 3 cams go for 12:1 or 12.5:1

^ or you could keep the compression you have and throw a lil boost on there too. then she'll be real fast.

Definitley a huge fan of the rims. i have rota sub-zeros which are the same thing and i love the way they look.

i have to agree..the compression is a lil low..stock b16b is 10.8:1 and those stage three cams with the dc sports header is gonna create and lower power middle range...we have built plenty of b16 all motor cars if you are interested in some help....if the motor isnt together yet get some 12.5:1 pistons...be able to run pump gas on those no prob...

also i built a b16a1 earlier this year with a stock bottom end no port work with brian crower cams and tuned on hondata it made 187whp...so potential is there

Yea I know the header needs changed but it was cheap and I was short on money when I got it......when it starts to look bad I'll get another one. I was afraid to go much high with the compression on pump gas. It is gunna be a daily driver so I need it to be reliable. The hood lift is an inside joke me and a couple friends have.

That is the best one I have.

That's what I'm talking about. But none the less nice car. I like what you did with the wheels as well.

12.0:1 to 12.5:1 is OK on pump gas as long as you are able to play with timing and your fuel mapping...once you get up around 13.0:1 your pushing the limits of pump...but there is still guys out there running it...well 93 octane anyway

This is the kind of build that you need to do right the first time. Putting a ****ty header on the build that you're trying to do and then tuning it and then changing the header to a much better one is going to require you to tune it AGAIN.

Also, listen to Vince. 12:0-12:5 is doable with 93 octane all the time and a good tune. As with everything else, the tune will make or break that engine.

Do it once, do it right.
