You gotta love this promotion...first of all the odds are minimal on winning...combine that with the millions of people that don't even look and throw the things out and you rarely have winners. Ever notice how few winners they announce.

IMO, it sure as hell doesn't hurt to try! Especially on craigslist, it's free to list so why not?

However, how does saying, "I'll give you $500,00 for boardwalk" work in terms of taxes?

He pays $500,000, and after taxes, he wins 1million, he gets roughly $500,000 of that, so he hasn't won very much! BUT it's still better than nothing I suppose.
