Creating a Logo for a Gfx class progress , any feedback appricated. Be reminded this is only like 1 hour of work. and copyied into paint becuase photoshop uploading on photobucket failed.

Something i did for a WoW guild lol....

Exhaust is spelled wrong on there* (ez fix)

I was thinking change the "S's" and add like an exhuast/muffler coming off an 'S" or coming out behind turbo. Thx for any suggestions.

it doesn't look to bad...just play around with the ideas of a different font or style

The turbo just doesnt fit in with the rest of the letters...its too 3D compared to the letters...also the gradient on each individual letter doesnt look right to me...maybe make the black into a gray thats just slightly darker than the other one. Also the shading looks too dark its too far back.

For a logo its a little too graphic with the way youre using the turbo...one tip is that if you're going to make it that way...make the letters stand out more...maybe ad a bevel...so they have more dimension in order to match the turbo.

Here's a pic I found with car company logos...maybe it'll help you a bit.

keep it simple. first thing, try not to mix fonts within a single word. usually doesn't work out to well. I would also maybe try putting the turbo in front of the text. and use the outlet as part of an underline/exhaust that then ends after the s's. But the main thing to remember here is that you are creating a logo, a logo that might not always be able to be printed in gray scale/color. How would the B&W version look? just some things to think about. But I would start with simplifying it, and then adding back in stuff.
