Please give me his badge no. I'll have his a** in court and suspended in more charges than he won't see the end of his pathetic life.

Missouri: Police Threaten, Detain Motorist for Parking After Hours
A St. George, Missouri police officer is caught on tape threatening to invent charges to arrest a motorist for parking after hours.

A motorist who refused to discuss his personal business with a St. George, Missouri police officer was threatened with arrest last Friday. Brett Darrow, 20, no stranger to unconventional encounters with police, caught a St. George Police Sergeant James Kuehnlein stating that he had the power to invent charges that would put Darrow behind bars. Update: Sergeant Kuehnlein was placed on unpaid leave Monday pending an investigation.

"Try and talk back... to me again," yelled Sergeant Kuehnlein. "I bet I could say you resisted arrest or something. You want to come up with something? I come up with nine things."

The incident began at around 2am. Darrow was to meet a friend who was working late and was going to pick him up. Darrow headed toward a 24-hour commuter parking lot in an unincorporated part of Saint Louis County in his 1997 Nissan Maxima. He put on his turn signal and entered the lot which, aside from Kuehnlein's cruiser, was essentially vacant. After stopping the car, the police officer approached and began questioning Darrow about what he was doing. When Darrow declined to discuss his personal business, the police sergeant exploded. Although the video clearly shows Darrow driving properly and using his turn signal, the police officer insisted that Darrow had broken the law.

"Oh, while you were coming towards me you were swerving back and forth within the roadway," Sergeant Kuehnlein said. "I might give you a ticket for that. You want me to come up with some more? When you turned in, you failed to use your turn signal, your right turn signal."

Without the video, Darrow tells TheNewspaper that he would have stood no chance disproving the officer's word in court. Twenty-eight percent of the St. George municipal budget comes from traffic citations. Darrow wonders how many of the tickets were legitimate.

"Looking into this guys eyes, he was crazy," Darrow said. "I was really scared he was going to assault me. I just wonder how many other people have been arrested on these charges."

After ordering Darrow against the car and searching him, Sergeant Kuehnlein released the motorist.

HA... That guy is the reason cops have the stereotype of being nerdy kids who were picked on in school. What a ***.

wow thats so ****ed up man. i had this happen to me the other night. got pulled over for texting while driving, when really i was looking at the time on my phone.

the cop insisted we threw something out the window, screaming what did we throw out the window, searched the grass with 6 other officers for about 40 minutes, took me out of the car searched me, search my passengers, ripped my glovebox apart, and left everything all over my car, ripped my shift boot up to look in there, pulled plasic back on the center console.

him and his buddies kept telling me to shut up and keep my hands on the trunk, they insisted they smelled a cigar (i was smoking a cig and so was a passenger when we got pulled over). They kept asking where the weed was, and what we threw out the window. then harrassed me about my old id's from when i was under 21, asked me why i had so many letters (mail) in the backseat, i told him i moved and get mail from my old place everyday, even tho it was none of his buisness. almost an hour later i left with no charges, no tickets, they found nothing, i wasnt drunk, and they harrassed the **** out of me and violated my rights. if only i had a camera, i would be in the same situation as this guy.

That kid is a complete douchebag. He does this on purpose. He had no reason pulling into that lot other then to start **** with that cop. He has another video on there where it drives thru a DUI checkpoint, of course the camera is rolling way before hand, and he starts mouthing off to the cop right from the start. Not that the cops in this video was right but what is the point in being tommy toughnuts to a cop? he is a complete asshole plain and simple.

yeah I was going to post the same thing but didn't want all the cop haters to jump on me..

this kid is an insane douchebag, he drives around with his camera on and acts like a dick to cops on purpose to provoke this stuff.

You want to hear ****ed up? I was in a parking lot 2 years ago with my Z. Me and a gal drove separately; see our mutual friend works there (as does the other girl), and she was getting her car. It was 45 mins after the lot (Brandywine YMCA) had closed. The girl gets in her car, leaves. I put my window down, ask the other girl if she wanted to do anything, we decide, go to leave....3 cop cars..not one..not two...THREE...come screaming in. She LEAVES. LEAVES. They surround me, come up to me, tell me the car was stolen, asked me all of these questions pertaining to me stealing it...and the worse part about it...I didn't have my license, only my registration. I was in mother****ing BATMAN pajama pants. After 1.5 hours, and BOTH girls returning to vouch as well as my father (who had been the cosigner) coming to vouch and give me id, I didn't even get an apology.

And that, my friends, is why I love this video.

cause you were in a car that matched the description of a stolen vehicle and had no ID to prove it was yours? personally i wouldn't have apologized either, you held them up for an hour and a half.. i'd consider yourself lucky you didn't get your car impounded. not trying to be a dick or anything, just my opinion.
