Help wiring a rhd teg engine harness
I have my RHD project alomst done except I ran into one problem. Im working on wiring up my engine and iv ran into the following problems. I ordered a RHD engine harness. Everything fit except the following. The wire for the starter does not reach to the other side since the battery is now on the left side. Stemming off of the harness where the vtec plugs are is a gigantic ass plug that resembles a door harness plug. I have never ever seen this on a honda before and dont know what its for. There are no dizzy plugs so maybe this big plug is for the dizzy? If so I would need a JDM dizzy? Also there is no plug for the coolant sensor on the right side of the head. The one that goes in its spot is a different shape. The us harness obviously doesnt fit because the plugs where the engine harness plugs into the body are reversed. Can someone post up detailed pictures of their rhd engine harness connectors and of the harness itself? Ill take pictures of my fiasco when I can get ahold of a camera Heres a pic of the harness I got, out lined is the odd connector out. ![]() Last edited by 2001teg; 09-04-2009 at 12:21 AM. If your dizzy has 2 plugs it's OBD2. You will need to convert the wiring harness to that style plug(s). It's not that hard, just look up OBD1 -> OBD2 distributor wiring diagram on google or buy this guy.
![]() Extend the starter wire, solder, do not crimp. Are you talking about the coolant switch (2wires) or the coolant temp sensor (1wire)? If it's the coolant switch, just find a plug that fits, cut it with some length of wire on both sides, cut the unusable plug off the harness and extend the wires to reach. Doesn't matter which way you hook them up, it's just a switch that grounds the relay to activate the fan. The one wire coolant temp sensor is the same thing, just extend it, it's a 5V sensor that goes into the already powered cluster. Solder and heavily tape all connections. I've done pretty much everything there is to do as far as wiring a Honda goes, just let me know if you have any other issues.

I wanted to ask if you guys are familiar with RHD integra wiring diagrams or if you knew where i could find some of those. My RHD is complete I just need some help in wiring my RHD harness to the wiring that goes to the back of the integra since it was cut off my clip. Also I need some wiring help for my wiring going to the front of my car like headlights, fan, ac.. etc since it was cut off my harness not so far away from the headlights. Any info would help greatly. Thank you
