If you still have the green brackets of death over the injectors, they take a litle bit to get off to swap the injectors.

The turbo swap isn't too hard just time consuming. The hardest part of swapping the turbo itself is getting the oil return line connected, I hear Teh Dirt knows a trick for doing that.

The green brackets arent that bad. just the passengerside. the turbo takes longer to pull out then to put back in. I actually thought the fuel pump was the suckiest. What TMIC are you going with. I have a JDM STi top mount im thinking of selling to go front. Its more than adequate for a 16. its the same setup im running actually lol

I thought everything was easy except that oil return line. Well, everything else would have been easy if I didn't have the APS inlet pipe...

My oil return went on fine the first time but when I had to pull it to shave the nub on the turbo off it didnt go back on so well. Actually the oil feed gave me **** for like 30 mins because it wouldnt thread down through the banjo. Oh yeah, make sure you put your washers on too.

Get a turbo inlet also. The rubber piece that goes over the turbo fails over time. They are also very easy to tear during install even if you are uber careful.
Be careful with the copper spray sealant. You are introducing one more type of metal into the equation when you do that. The more dissimilar metals you have, the more oxidation you will have. Cast iron turbo outlet, stainless downpipe, whatever the gaskets are made from and then the copper. Thats alot of different types of metal in one place all being squished together and heated/cooled. If the mating surfaces are clean and the gaskets are new, there should be no need or any other type of sealant.

And thats why you're the guru Andy! Thanks for the advice... I got a used GP Moto inlet with the turbo....but IMHO its kinda sad looking. To be safe I am springing for a new one. Any preferences?
I look forward to having you tune it up after I get everything installed.
