$300 for REPLICA Takata Harness's!? Are you kidding?

Why would you pay almost $300 for a pair of replica Takata's? At the most I could see maybe $50 for the pair. Have people really lost it!?

Nah, the new ones retail at about $750-800 shipped for the set.

Now the first version, real baller ones are going for almost $1,200 for the set. The new logo is soo ugly and no one really likes them, so it just makes the first version worth more. Good thing I got mine early in the game! lol

Thats crazy. I cant see myself paying that much for seatbelts, and the other things to hook em up like a harness bar, and racing seats with special slots in em. Im so lucky I dont try to be JDM

Thats because you don't race your car, at all. It's not just to be JDM, I have a 6 point Sparco harness in my S2000. It's for safety. Racing seats are so you don't have too much movement while you are doing 1g at the apex of a turn. The harness is there just incase of rollover or something crazy happening that a normal seatbelt just won't work. A rollcage is to increase the structural integrity of the vehicle. It's not JUST for looks or to be JDM, it's to save your life, which is why a helmet is always required.

I know that, but just the prices of the stuff. Im sure a non-takata harness works just as well, it just comes down to what you are willing to spend. I know what you mean though, cause if I try to drive hard, im usually leaning on my doorpanel or the center console (stock seats)

NEGATIVE. Takata seat belts are FIA appoved. Witch means they are legal in every form of professional racing. I know for a fact that these knockoffs are not FIA appoved.

Why would you cheap out on something like seatbelts??? That's really stupid. I'm not saying that you have to spend 800$ on a set of takata's when you could get a set a scroth or sparco or willians for alot cheaper and they work just as well.

That is pretty much it. I would be willing to make a bet that most of the people that have them in their cars in the States do not have them because they are FIA approved.
