Just picked this up this weekend. Bought it not too far away from Chicago, IL and then drove it back to Philly, PA. Needless to say 1000 mile trip in a stiff ass car with solid motor mounts = teh suck.

1983 Rabbit GTI
1996 ABA 2.0 Block
Solid lifter head with mild port & polish.
G-grind cam
Fox intake manifold
Audi 5000 TB
Dual outlet exhaust manifold
Solid front motor mount
New Radiator
New battery
Techtonics 2.5" exhaust & straight-thru muffler.
Scirocco 16V transmission
Lightened flywheel
Peloquin 80% limited slip shim kit
custom weighted short-shift linkage
110mm axels
10.1" Front brakes
Neuspeed Race springs & Bilstien Sport struts
Front Poly bushings.
New ball-joints & tie-rod ends.
Reinforced stock front swaybar.
Aftermarket rear bar + reinforced axel beam.
Upper & Lower front tie-bars,
Upper rear strut bar w/poly strut mounts.
New rear wheel bearings.
15" VW BBS wheels, powdercoated black.Yokohama A008 in the rear, Hankook Victoracers in the front.

Heres how it was when I picked it up in Chicago sitting on unknown 15's with Kumho ecstas on them.

At home washed and cleaned up, back on the BBS's with race rubber and the bumpers removed.

The back is pretty stripped , just gotta rip out the rest and herculine all of it.

Planning to dye the dash black and probably get rid of the carpet too.

Naked booty

Plans are to do a little maintenance, cage it , gauge it and boost it.

The previous owner actually bought it from St. Louis , Missouri. So its a pure northern car, I'm really suprised how together it still is. Theres a few little spots of rust here and there but nothing bad, just gonna POR-15 the small stuff and not worry about it.
