it takes roughly 7 minutes to return a search on fredmiranda. i used to really like robgalbraith.com but they sold it to some punks who made it a pay only site.
umm photo.net is good. iphotoforum.com is another one. flickr.com is another good place to go for photo related discussion and galleries.

accessphoto is full of critique nazis. it seems you cant have your own style, everything has to be perfect. but its a good place to learn and ask ?s.

if you're into anything 'extreme sports' related...snow, ski, wake, skate, bmx, etc. , check out wheelsandwax.com . the forums are actually very interesting and some people over there have incredible talent. one of my favorite sites by far.

I frequent both fredmiranda and nikon cafe. It seems the critics at the cafe are more forgiving than those at fredmiranda. It also seems that fredmiranda is biased towards Canon shooters and the Cafe...Nikon of course.
