Um, i dont quite understand, is there a "wave " that i must respond to when driving by someone else in a wrx??

I don't wave at any subaru guys...I find it wierd. Some guy in an rs on i-95 the other day waved at me, I gave him a little bit of the external gate and his girlfriend just looked scared as hell. lol

Thats whats wrong with the Philly area. Its not a competition.
Knowing what you have is what matters.. why say "I have a turbo?"

I give the nod or a wave to OZ Lancers if they wave.

I am not from anywhere near Philly. Reguardless it was a joke, after I gave him the external gate I gave him a wave and thumbs up.

You don't have to responde, but you should.
Otherwise the other driver will just assume you're just someone who just owns the car because of the "AWD turbo" hype and ignorant of the Subaru heritage.

The subaru wave is meant as a courtesy and respect under normal conditions of passing traffic who happen to have made the same wise investment you've made. You should not attempt to signal the other owner by:

Swirving your car back and forth to display the recognizable excellent handling

i wave to most dsmer's and ill wave to subbie guys cause im friendly.

I once got pointed and laughed at by a WS6. He was across the light from me. I was quite annoyed.

Usually people wave to me before I have a chance to wave to them. Most of the time it's STi guys waving to me since there are more of those than RS's around here.

well i am happy you leave the rest of us out, honestly i nod to anyone that i see that resembles a tuner or who has a nice car. Apparently im a little too friendly cause half of the time i get
A) The finger
B) Someone rev their engine
C) A blank stare

when i had a jeep wrangler back in the day, i received a wave all the time. it made ya feel like you were in a secret cool club! haha!
