Auto or manual?

A brand new B series tranny from honda will run about $1700 (i know i bought one) but that is if they even have any in stock.

You should be able to find a good used one anywhere between $100-$700 Possibly even cheaper if it's an auto. But check out Honda-tech like chris said, I'm positive there is one on there... just be patient and search...

call up gearspeed they can sell you a tranny with a warrenty. Is there any reason why she wants a warrenty? Is it auto or manual? I really do not see trannies failing that much.

it'll be hard to find a tranny that has a warranty on it without spending a lot of money. Very VERY!! rarly do auto trannies go bad. Whats wrong with hers, I mean if your gonna spend the cash on a warrantied rebuit one, why not just rebuild that one?

yeah true true.. ill prolly just tell her to get it rebuilt.. her bf has a mustang and hes pretty good with installing things so we figured we could find a new trans, and just have him install it.

but looks like this one will just have to get rebuilt.. approx. how much would a stock auto civic ex tranny cost

Very often do Honda B-series trannies go bad, but D series usually just shift hard, slip, and don't go bad until around 200k miles.

Most junkyards that run the cars first will give you a 30 day warranty on a used tranny. Thats what I bought a while back when I had my old accord. THe thing was CHEAP too, only $150.

I would search on ebay since there are a lot of places that sell trannies that are tested on there.
