Custom Snowboard

Hey guys, this quarter Im taking a compsites class, and for my final project im building a snowboard from scratch. I was wondering if anyone on here have done it before or know of places where I can get the materials for cheap. I need a core, edges, inserts, the rubber for between the edges and the carbon fiber, carbon fiber, sidewalls, molds, vacuum pump etc.

any help that you guys can provide would be most appreciated

o , i was thinkin i could maybe use and air compressor as a vacuum pump, just leave the bleeder valve on the tank open, or maybe a shopvac?

ive been on there, i really want some clear topsheets, there out....

im just wondering if there are any other options or if someone on here has experience

no actually ive been doin ALOT of research into it, im just asking if you guys have any other sources for the material other than snowboardmaterials.com so that i can price things out cause i dont have alot of money to mess with. This has been done in past years by other students and 98% of the boards that were made worked pretty good or well on the mountain (the bad boards were caused by stupid mistakes made during the construction)

also the presvious students got their materials at snowboardmaterials and they had a VERY LONG turn around time so thats another reason im trying to find another source

oh ok, as long as you have a plan on it, i wasnt sure if you did or not. unfortunately i just ride them, i dont make them, but keep us updated on your progress... sounds like fun.

thanks, yea i needed to make something and i was thinkin bout gettin a new board so y not kill 2 birds with 1 stone u kno?

hey guys, sorry i havent updated this in a while but its all done and it looks pretty good, i pulled it out of the mold this morning right before i left school to come home, it needs some finishing but its still lookin good. Ill prolly be going to the freshworks meet tonight and ill have it with me if anyone wants to check it out
