Yes, but you need at least serving experience for that and good multi-tasking abilities(Gemini?). You might be able to get a serving or to-go position if, and only if, you choose a restaurant that is'nt discriminatory against male servers(rare) and look the part, or you know someone who works there. Hosting might get you 8 in some places but it's boring, the customers can annoy(like serving but to a lesser extent), and you have to put up with the childish 16 years old prissy girls that usually occupy that position. Cooking is the most labor intensive and you wont get hired without experience in any place worth the dirt it resides on. Prepping is tedious and you better be bi-lingual. Bussing is tedious and sloppy but good if you need to lose weight as you'll be walking a lot. Dish is sloppy and disgusting. All restaurant positions are hard on the knees, feet, and back.
You need to be the type if you want to work in a restaurant, otherwise it'll chew you up and regurgitate you into the deep fryer. Do'nt fall for the fallacy that they'll hire you as a something, see how you do, and then move you to a more "desirable" position. If you're not an attractive female or a total suck-up, that will take years to happen. Or, if you are really persistent, they'll promote you and then look for any little thing to get you in trouble and demote or fire you.
The restaurant biz is tough my friend. It's worth a shot, but it'll get to ya if you are'nt the type. The plusses are that some friends can be made, free or reduced cost food, and drugs are easy to come by. Oh yes, they will get you for the weekends.
THAT is the restaurant biz.

Want to be my personal assistant?

Jk! Did you try an electronics store? Best Buy, Circuit City, etc? They usually pay fairly well, and can work part time.

umm....dont tell them. ive been delivering for 4 years now. its not like (if your only going for cheap insurance) they care if your car gets stolen while delivering.
