wtf..... my car hates me

ok heres the story, bought my car in march it ran like a champ untill the last week in august when the turbo took a poop on me. i waited 5 weeks untill my b16g came in and i finaly had it running on the road.it ran good for about a week untill that turbo had bad shaft play and a blown seal, so i buy a used 14b and runs great for another week then..... runs like crap and starts to over heat. so it sits out front of my house for over a month while i save money to bring it to a local shop. the tell me they will have it donw in 3-5 days, (really takes 10 days) $900 later im told it is all done no more problems. go to pick it up it all good. then i drive home (about 25 miles) car looses all coolent and im told it needs new hoses, + check engine light is on. take it back they clear the code and i go home. then yesterday i notice a ticking noise coming from under the hood, driving my car home from school and the car skipped timing and f***ed the engine up good.(keep in mind i just spent $900 to have the head gasket replaced as well as the timing belt and all the extras that come with it) so im seeking help and advice.

Call the company that "fixed" your car.

If you just payed them to do the timing belt...and it went in 25 miles...they ****ed up.

Damn! Im guessing the $900 was a head gasket job? If thats what they did then they messed up the timimg belt install.

thats beat as hell sound sliek my story

blew a u-joint first week
month later the shot turbo finally started to scrape so I got a 14b on a week later
blew the headgasket that day so I took it to JNZ tuning a month or so later finally got a rebuilt 6 bolt head, timing belts and hg and what not swaped on... 100 miles later it spun multiple bearings
So I've been having them do a rebuilt 6 bolt swap, that way thier shouldn't be any more problems, which is the best route I can think of to not have anymore problems other then its takein them forever to finish my car up

We all know DSM's aren't known for being reliable...

Less than 2 weeks ago my Laser's alternator started on fire.... Had to replace the engine and everything else... two weeks earlier I had a new tranny put in... now my only problem (for the moment) is my alternator belt squealing...

Things will either get better or your car will blow up, it's one of the two...

Josh, this is Erik. As I told you on the phone anything that we are responsible for will be handled by us. Fact is you called and said your car is dead. You don't KNOW what is wrong with it and from your description on the phone I can't diagnose it. All you can tell me is that i made a noise and now doesn't run. Just because we were the last to work on the car does not guarantee that the problem stems from anything we did to the car. This is like a customer that comes in to have trans fluid filled and then turns around and has his turbo blow only to blame us for the job. Not saying that something didn't happen related to the work that we performed but we do not know what is wrong with the car and neither do you. For all we know you could have ran the car low on oil and it seized. Be careful about pointing fingers until you know where to point them.

We are not a towing service. We are not responsible for towing your car in because we do NOT again, know what is wrong with the car. If it has nothing to do with the work performed are you going to reimburse us the amount? If it is something related to the work performed...again....you will be refunded the towing amount.

Point is your are pointing your finger at us before even you know what is wrong with the car. I asked you first thing if you pulled the timing belt cover to inspect the timing and you said that you did and it looked fine. I cannot say one way or the other as I cannot see your car through the phone reciever.

You are getting way, way ahead of yourself Josh. You are dealing with adults so try to remain one yourself.

if i do have it towed and it is infact something that was messed up during the install will you reimburse me?
the only things i did on the car since i got it back was rotate tires, oil change (was told to do it within 50-100 miles) and took out the interior to clean it due to a swarm of nats that are always around my car for the last 7 days

Life gets hard somtimes man. Sorry to here about all your mishaps. Hope the shop lives up to what they just said they would.

The fact that he came on here and told you he would is big of them. If the car truly jumped time and they just had the head off. Im sure they will fix it no question.

But as they said if you ran it out of oil or somthing like that. You couldnt expect them too.

Like I said life gets rough and these guys would rather keep your buisness then screw you. So go smoke a fatty and let them take a look at it. I suggest you be in the shop when they do just for your own head.

Good luck man.

All of those things suck. That is no reason to point your finger at a business before you know that the business holds any fault in the situation. We have nothing to do with other aspects of your life, and I feel for you in all of them, but try to remain civil in the one area that we are involved with you in.

In short yes. I have been the Joe Shmoe in the car modding world as well and I see no reason why you would be responsible for paying the towing bill if it was our fault. We have certified, experienced Mitsu techs working for us and we will stand behind that work 100%.
