I love those cars but, and no offense here, some things should not be bright yellow. I'm a huge aircooled porsche and vw fan so no matter the color it is still hot. How's the interior and motor? How much bodywork is needed? I see at the base of the door in the second pic, is that the worst of it?

that is the worst of it yes, and the yellow paint was a joke it was primer and i wanted it ot be way flashy so i took it to maaco and had it sprayed like 8 years ago. the interior is all brand new and i have a fully built numbers matching motor sitting next to the car. the car is going to be resprayed in the silver that my first one was cause i hate yellow but the car was yellow from the factory in 59, so it is going to be silver with a red gut

Nice man, nice. Silver over red is a classic Porsche combo, I am sure she will look fantastic!

You mean the block matches the car, or did Porsche stamp other parts of the engine like the old muscle cars? I only ask because on my Beetle's I only have one number to match up so I'm really curious. Silver over red would be hot btw. Just saw a silver 61 sitting at the Taco Bell on Route 100. Very colorful man driving it too. He said "This is the coolest F***ing car ever made man" and then sped away lol. He was in his mid 50's hahaha
