why i sometimes hate the world we live in

just to give you a background, my mom is a single mother, my 2 little brothers are 13 and 16. my mom lived in north philadelphia and i decided to take my 16 year old brother in with me to give him a better life, better school and more safety and also to help my mom financially and make it easier for her to leave her neighborhood. About 1 month ago my mom sold her house and moved to foxchase, waaaaaaaaaay better than n. philly. well my 13 year old brother was so excited that he could finally walk to school and not having to worry about getting hit by random bullets flying through the air. Well for the last 2 days on his way home from school a group of like 5 15-16 year olds have been threatning him that they hate spicks, and that puerto ricans do not belong in this neghoborhood. they are going to beat him severly this that and the other. In a way it cracks me up because these kids think that they are ****ing with some random kid not knowing his background or the kids my brother knows and what they are capable off if something happens. but it pisses me off that someone goes somewhere else to have a better life and some ignorant dicks have to start crap.

that sucks man. Parents these days are so ignorant, and that turns their kids into being ignorant bigots as well. you should do a Napoleon Dynamite thing where your bro hands out beads and the tri state crew follows behind in pimped out rides shaking their heads at bullies. pedro will protect you.

There's nothing I hate more than a bully. My nephew went through a time at school when he was getting threatened all the time, and he was genuinely scared. Pissed me off as his uncle, and I could only imagine how I would have felt if it was my son or little brother.

And the stuff about him being a spick and not welcome? That's ****ing bull****. I hate racists. And they are only 15 or 16, so where is it coming from? They are learning it from their parents, which is even more absurd.

One more thing, you said you would observe......just don't do anything stupid. They don't look too highly on an adult manhandling a teenager, even though that's what I would want to do if I was in your position.

Ha, i'm the exact opposite. I have an Italian's temper in my blood, but the Irish side of me rarely let's it ever get to that point. Watch out when I do pop off though......

uh this ****s freaking me out. i dunno how i am going to handle this kind of **** when the baby comes. the more i think of your dilemma the more i think of what i might have to deal with and what i would do? i mean, in all honesty you cant touch them unless you wanna end up in jail, which is a no go, then its pretty obvious yelling at them will do nothing. the police will do nothing, and if you went to their parents you'd probably end up getting into a fight with their ignorant father.............. ugh. way to leave me wacked out ray.

yeah its pretty ****ed up, police told my mom they cant do anything untill he basically gets beat up. my brother fidghts he defends himself well in situations but not when theres 5 kids against 1.

Make him learn some martial arts. Not some dumb bull**** that they teach around here in mass-instruction, but some Jujitsu/grappling style or some proper Karate. If it eventually does escalate to a situation he'll know what to do and they won't **** with him again even if he loses because they will see what he did with 1 of the kids. And 5 kids? What a bunch of pansies.

If I had a kid and he fought back against the bullies I would fight anything that any school would throw at him as punishment because he was defending himself.

However, there is a problem from staying in karate too long. If you get a black belt and you beat somebody up it is considered assault with a deadly weapon... The person being the deadly weapon. A friend of mine was a black belt and ended up getting in a quick fight with another kid and that is what the charge was. He headbutted him in the face and broke his nose.

seriously though, it's sad that people are still like that in today's day and age. and to feel that way at 15 means their parents REALLY worked it into them. usually by that age you've had plenty enough time in school and what not to realize the ignorance of racism.. or maybe it just seems that way to me since i grew up in a mixed neighborhood.. i dunno.

i think if they want 5 , i may need to take a trip down to the old hood and pick up 5 of his friends, but then of course it will be my rbother and his friends fault and they will be the ones to get in trouble.

lol, Seriously I've never had a problem any where I have been. I have Family in VA and the people in the neighborhood love my family down there. Such a sad place we live in when people try to get away from trouble only to have more come up in the new place.

my brother has never been a trouble maker, he is allways very shy when he is around people he does not know. so i know he didnt start ****, however hes been in alot of fights before when people start with him. he told my mom that he does not take crap from no one but at this point he has no choice because he is out numbered and a minority so he is scared. he does not want to live in a white neighborhood anymore. my mom called me crying last night and told me this, it totally tore my heart apart

May I suggest you or the 16 year old hanging around with him for a little while? Let him get comfortable in his new surroundings.

Walk him to school, pick him up from school, take him to get dinner, whatever it takes to get his comfort level up. He will feel better if one of his big brothers are there for a little while.

thats what im doing to day i live right outside the city but happens to be 3 min drive from his house. its just hard because my 16 year old brother goes to a different school district because he lives with me and im allways at work or doing things with the shop , so we cant quite be there with him to pick him up from school and stuff. but im deffinatley doing this today.
