Summertime = 5D

I've thought about this for quite some time now.
I've read review after review from many different sources.
Summer 2007 I will be switching to Canon

I know, I thought I'd never say it myself, but Canon does digital better.

I plan on selling all of my Nikon gear and fully making the switch by the end of August 2007

Wishlist:
-Canon 5D
-Canon 70-200 f/2.8L
-Canon 16-35 f/2.8L or 24-70 f/2.8L (most likely the latter)
-Canon 50mm f/1.8

While this is not set in stone, I am 90% sure this is going to happen.
The only reason it won't happen is if Nikon releases some breakthrough body in the next few months, which is very unlikely.

I'll ask here too... seriously, what are your reasons for the change?

I have to say I am impressed with Canon's stuff. My brother moved from a D70 to a 20D, and the 20D was a great upgrade. He just got a 1D Mark II (The big FF one), and that thing is great as well.

I don't think you will be disappointed! On that note, who will you be selling your D200 and 18-200 to? I would be interested if it is in the summer!

Canon does digital better

Few reasons
-FF sensor
-Superior noise control
-Unreal sharpness and detail
-Canon glass > Nikon glass (not as big a difference as there was, but still significant)
-Easier to isolate subject from background
-I plan on going back to school after I get my bachelors to get my masters so I can teach. Every school requires the teacher to shoot Canon as that is what the schools give the students

Ever go to a sporting event?
If you find 2 guys shooting Nikon's, you've found a lot
There is a reason for that

Few years ago when people still shot film it was the other way around
