ZERIOUSTT can haz new transmisson?
ok onto the purchase which was in 2001 for 10k cash, car had 96k when i bought her. she went 13.9 bonestock, after catback exhaust, intake, and 11psi vs stock 9psi she managed a 13.3. so i got a chip, clutch, fuel pump, eliminated ac and ps, dual intake. at this point i was having issues with the car and couldnt figure out what was wrong. so my buddy mitch(some of the z guys may know him, amz performance) looked over the car. he came up with my wiring harness being dry-rotted. im like ok ill try anything. well pulled everything out of her. which i might say for my first time was very scary. now that ive done it numerous times its cake. but on to the results, i figured how much is this really gonna help me out. boy was i suprised, after we got her back together it felt like a whole new car. so i take her to the track and go from 13.3 to 12.5(http://crazy2sin.com/storage/video/jason_0001.wmv) on street tires, with no other mods than a new wiring harness. so any z owners if your car has the same harness from its conception you may want to change it. also if help is needed let me know ![]() while these pics dont reflect what it looked like when i purchased it, its the closest thing i have. [IMG] ![]() ![]() ![]() at this point in the cars life it was through i minor fender bender which caused me to get the new bumper, sideskirts, and jspec wing. i regret the body kit minus the jspec wing. but dont worry that will soon change. ok so after owning the car for around 2 years tradegy strikes. i was at a stop sign and a lady her blinker on to turn onto the street i was on. well i look both ways a few times. i go to pull out and the lady changes her mind at the last second... whaaaaaaaaaaam my z is totalled. ![]() ![]() well as luck would have it my buddy mitch parted out his 550hp z and was selling his rolling chassis with $2800 hks coilovers in it. i picked it up for a steal at 3500. ![]() well i have the chassis and now for the swap!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() so i finally get her running and run into some problems..http://crazy2sin.com/storage/video/zeriousback.avi i had rust in the gas tank because of the chassis sitting so long. i had to drain the gas out. after that uses sandpaper and some rust remover to get it all out. then voila!! ran like a champ. got some sticky tires and headed to the track. im in need of a tune considering im on a intake/exhaust(can)tune. but heres the rusults. http://crazy2sin.com/storage/video/jasonbest.wmv with this run...cant find one faster. i am the fastest stock turbo, injector, intercooler Z not on nitrous. im shooting for 11.8's after a tune ![]() and a little run with a yzf 600 http://crazy2sin.com/storage/video/zeriousttVStom.avi

Sounds like a really sick car. Hows the reliability been for you? I know thats a big question with these cars.

Only other problems I've had was the fuel pump went, which allowed me to upgrade. The woring harness which was one of my best investments. Brand new from nissan for 300 was a steal, it brought me from 13.3 to 12.5. No engine or turbo issues(knock on wood). I mean my eyes if you maintain a car mechanically it will last. Also I drive the car hard when I need to. I mean I don't hold anything back. But you better believe I change all fluids and tune ups when there supposed to be done. Like any sports car it has weak points, mostly sychros in the trannies. other than that I believe it to be a very stout car. I love this car its ben very good to me. P.S. Thanks a lot man...really appreciate it. I was astonished that it fired up first try after I swapped it over. Very gratifing feeling.
I know it looks like a japanese fox body...lol. Not that I don't want it to look good. As you see from the exterior to engine bay where all the attention goes. That's not to say I don't want a nice looking car, just going fast is my first priority. I'm waiting to paint after the motor/turbo(s) go. Then ill do the build I want and do it right. Then shell get that sexxxy stock pearl white! For now shell look like crap and haul arse! Lmao

I used to love them Zs. Still do but I'm a big guy so I settled for a Maxima. But just like you I used to love them since before I can remember.
