Could be a Trans/Clutch Issue.
Did you do a boost leak test...Even if it isnt the reason still good to do one anyway. If I was closer I would check it out...but Mine is down as well lol. Does the clutch engage smooth? and how's the idle?

no clutch its auto. the one thing i forgot to ask is if the comp will throw a CEL when the trans is in limp mode? and no i have not done a boost leak test i think i'll get to that now. all i need is a compressor to fill my tank

Does it Feel like it wants to move just wont? I.e. the tranny shifts fine and it feels motor related...or does the motor run fine but the trans feels like it's the issue.

to be honest it feels like both. it feels like the motor is way too retarded on timing but it also feels like i'm suck in limp mode. i had this same problem a long time ago when i first put the head back on and it was timing now i don't know. i've checked everything i can think of internal timing is spot on. ignition timing is good. no CEL's to check, fuel pressure is good. then again. the chilton says to run 44lbs on this motor but i've always heard a lower number. i think it was 34. got me anyone know if limp mode will thorw a CEL?

Is it a 1g or a 2g?
www.vfaq.com I run 38psi for fuel pressure...But remember to take the vacumn line off when you check/adjust it.
