Good morning to all,

I would like to bring to your attention, to those of you who like to start your mornings here at xxxxxxx LLC’s continental breakfast bar, the introduction of a new product that we in the kitchen, have set out for you to use – “The Disposable Cereal Bowl”. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is here in this vary building and we, in the kitchen, are calling on all of you cereal lovers to use it in place of the ceramic bowls.

We also welcome you to take it upon yourselves to enjoy that cereal, in that disposable bowl, with…………..yes ladies and gentlemen………….”The Individually Wrapped, for your Sanitary Protection, Plastic Spoon”. As always, we here in the kitchen, appreciate your cooperation with these requests and hope that with this new introduction, have left you with a slightly wider smile upon your morning face. Just think of it, you can now take your breakfast with you to your office though don’t forget to dispose of it when you are finished - Makes for a cleaner office environment.Thank you for your time and attention.

My dear friends and fellow employees,

I trust that everyone had a splendid and safe holiday weekend.

I would like to bring an issue to the attention of those of you who come to utilize our offerings at breakfast. It seems that recently, the trays that we provide you to slice your bagel, butter your bread, etc, are being used as a trash dumping area filled with empty jelly, butter and cream cheese containers. Let’s all try to leave the trays as they are found in the beginning of breakfast (clean and orderly) so that your fellow employees after you do not have to shuffle for space amongst the garbage left behind by the previous jelly spreader. Be kind and throw your left over refuse away when you are done. I commend those of you who do this. Thank you.

I would also ask that those of you, who leave partial amounts of things, discard them as well. Unless you know that someone next to you has committed to sharing a jelly packet with you, then by all means leave it there for there needs. We find that in most cases, those leaving partially filled packets of things thinking that they will be consumed by the next unknown person to follow them get used up – not so – it just adds to the trash build up. This also goes for bagels and donuts. Unless you wear gloves and use a knife to cut these items in ½, (which is the sanitary way), discard the remaining product because no one wants to wonder if the hands that touched the bagel or donut were clean.

If we all follow these simple requests, it not only shows our guests that we run a clean operation up here, but should also bestow pride in our selves and that we are polite and concerning of each other as fellow employees of xxxxxx LLC.

Another alerting email.

I should inform all of you of just exactly what it is that you will be having for lunch today. The menu has been pushed from Wednesday to today so that means that we will be having the “Mexican Baked Chicken”. Now I know you are all very excited by this and as well you should be because I am very excited to bring it to you. It has had an extra day to marinate and so we all should be experiencing an extra tasty product today.



Tomorrow, we will be doing the ”Grilled Flank Steak”. This should also be another very special day as well in the dining room and I think that Mr. OWNEROFCOMPANY will agree – it’s his favorite cut of beef, a cut above the rest and it is also the start of a great holiday weekened. My fellow epicureans,

Due to a glitch in the purveyor process, we will be serving a baked ravioli dish with beef ravioli, spinach, mozzarella and parmesan cheese and not the “lasagna” concept that I had hoped to (though it will be quite similar). Thank you for your understanding of these changes and I hope that no ones day will be ruined because of this debockle.

Yesterday I served myself some sloppy joe, and I spilt a little. Of course both the chef and his assistant were staring at me with their eyes, so i ran to a table, grabbed a napkin and cleaned it up, and they applauded me

it's strange- our last chef used to cook, and then would walk out into the dining room and chat with people. He was a real down to earth guy.

The new chef is down to business, and barely says a word to anyone, but his food is ten times better

Caution, what you have on your hands is someone who likes their job. This is a very dangerous situation to be in. At any moment this man can become filled with pride, resulting in improved productivity, and a higher quality of work. There are also side effects of having him around, these include, but are not limited to, improved morale, people enjoying their job, lower turn over in areas frequented by him, and the potential for him to become promoted.

Seriously though, he sounds awesome, but I bet he has a bit of social anxiety. I would let him know you think he does an awesome job, and that his emails are entertaining and informative.
