PA.........Shamokin and Coal Township “car crazy cruise and show

I was just wondering if any locals plan to attend. Here are the details from our local paper.

SHAMOKIN — Plans have been finalized for the Shamokin and Coal Township “car crazy cruise and show,” set for Sunday the 27th.

The cruise will start forming at the Shikellamy Marina at 3 p.m., and the cruise will leave the marina at 4 p.m. The cruise will proceed south on Route 61 to Second Street in Coal Township. It will then travel along Walnut Street into the city before going down Arch and Market streets. The cruise will end on Independence Street, where the cars will be on display.

Shamokin Mayor Ronald “Lum” Bradley and council members, along with the Coal Township Board of Commissioners, invite everyone with antique cars, street rods, muscle cars, Corvettes, Mustangs, four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive trucks, motorcycles and specialty vehicles to join in.

The cruise will feature a Mustang round-up, which will feature a special display of Mustangs from all years.

John “Skip” Rabuck, organizer, is asking everyone to join the cruise for a Sunday of fun designed for the whole family. Plan to attend with family, friends and neighbors, and take a trip down memory lane.

For more information, call Rabuck at 644-1308.

If you haven’t been on Route 125 yet this would be one more good reason to go.

For safety, I would hammer it in the daytime.

Ohh I have been on 125 many times before and even in the daytime I don't "hammer it" becasue the 1hr ride back with shiat in my pants isn't a fun ride. HAHA I don't think I'm going anyway. Stupid rain!

This sounds like fun, I'd be down if I weren't going to the BBQ at Area 1320. It's really good to see towns that not only welcome but invite car cruises and the such.

That’s right.

I think I recall you mentioned you were on the Spring Run with “Pocket Rocket” and other TST’ers. I’m hosting a cookout today (screw the rain… we’ll be inside) but if it wasn’t for that I’d probably go. A friend of mine just got an MR and has been begging me to take him up there. My other friend just got an M3 and is selling his WRX… he doesn’t stand a chance up there.

Ahhh, days like today make it even more interesting… you need an all-wheel drive rally car, man.

EDIT: What the hell am I talking about… I'm not getting on that road now. My struts are shot… I’m getting a set of coilovers ASAP.

no I didn't go on the spring run... since I get 5 days off work at a time, I get bored so I will randomly just take a drive. Sometimes I make it up that way. I would love to go on a TST run but number 1 rule, you have to be able to stay with the group and I would slow them down for now.
