YASI

Yet Another Subaru Impreza... I own an '02 WRX and just found this site. I hope to look around and check it out. I do enjoy driving my car way too much, close to 90,000 miles, in just about 3.5 years.

Of course, in the WRX even. I have the paint scratches to prove it. Were you there? Do you plan to go again this year?

This year we most likely will be in the LTB (my brother's DSM). Road Rally is really my preferred car activity. There is even one this weekend down in MD that we will be competing in.

Of course stage ralling is way too much fun to watch, but too dangerous for my daily driver. Do you know if anyone from here is going to or working the STPR this year? Jeff and I have been course marshalls the past couple of years and had a good time, since we get to go to a less crowded part of the course and hang out all day. As workers we also had invitations to the competitor and worker parties Friday and Saturday nights. It is definately worth the trip.

The scratches really stopped bothering me a good long while ago. They first appeared on my first PBX when the car was only a month old. At least I only get one or two new sets a year.

As for the TSD's have you looked at the Philly region SCCA TSD schedule. They have put together a series that covers MD, DE, PA, and NJ. The next one is Sunday the 1st in Maryland, then two in South Jersey (5/15 and sometime in June), and North Jersey and Deleware in August (8/14 and 8/28). Hope to see you out at more than one before the PBX.

Hey man, welcome to the club.

Jeff Craven comes out to the meets every now and then. I saw his name on your SCCA standings.
I think a few of us are headed out to STPR this year.

Yea, Jeff is like almost 2 seconds faster than every other STX car on the short courses we squeeze into the lot at Atco. There is really no one that is close. Perhaps by the end of the year Andre might be competition for him, who knows.

As for the STPR, my brother and I are planning on running the charity TSD and work as course marshalls again this year. There is no better way to spectate the STPR. We had gotten a small number of spectators last year and a couple of photographers. We also got to see the water crossing.

Here are some photos:

Can you spot the photographer?

The RSX sounded like a boat hitting a wave at speed when it hit the water. It must have skimmed on the skid plate to the timing line. I was impressed.

Yes, too many miles. I thought about leaing a car once, then checked the milage I would have after the three or four years and promptly decided that purchasing the car would be cheaper in the long run. Besides, who buys a car to look at it?
