anyone is authorized to sell. Just like selling a car, you have to transfer registrations and such. You can do it at most gun shops.

check out www.gunbroker.com its like Ebay for guns.

What are you looking for a 9mm, 40cal, 45cal,ext. ? I like the glock model 21 it's a nice compact 40 cal., but it's pricey. I would recommend to try to shot a few and see what you like becuase they a shot a little diferent

x2 on the glock. Glocks are phenominal weapons, although since you already said you are not too familiar with guns and obviously arent that experienced you could probably get something for a better price that is more suitable for you.

You don't know anything about them, and want to buy one?

Take a safety AND a shooting course. You'll thank me down the road.

My first handgun was a Glock 26 (a pinky extension is a MUST). It shoots better than most of the full size handguns I have shot, simply an amazing gun.

Go to a range where you can rent them and fire as many as you can. Find one that feels good to you. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about it if you can't shoot it right. As long as its a reliable manufacture, and the gun fits YOU well, you really can't go wrong.

i agree. definitely take a safety course and learn how to shoot one before you go to a range or buy one. they will show you the proper technique which will benefit you in the long run.

EXACTLY. Everyone told me to get an HK usp .40 (my brother also has one), which is, in fact, one of the top guns. HOWEVER, upon firing the weapon multiple times, it just wasn't comfortable to ME. I shot the 26 and 27 better than HK. I rented and/or borrowed 15-20 different handguns before selecting the one that "I" (I can't emphasize this enough) felt the most comfortable with.

The ranges I rented from were Target World and Classic Pistol.

I'll be inheriting a US Army issued S&W .40 from ~1950 when the sad day comes where my grandfather passes. I'll be in the market for a new pistol within the next few years though. I'm thinking Five-Seven or Glock.

I would also second the notion of taking a gun safety course. I've never applied for a hunting license, however I went through a few differnet flavors of hunter/trapper safety courses and pistol safety courses as well.

i cant wait til i can carry. the glock 26 is nuts i dont see how u can shoot that, that would be my choice for concealed weapon. id probaly take glock 19 or a glock 22

i like heckler and koch but them guns dont look comfortable.

9mm or 40 caliber is what id pick

I have a permit to carry in both PA and Delaware and i am an NRA certified Rangemaster, if you ever wanna shoot, let me know and i can take you out and safely show you the basics. Glocks are great guns, but the failure to have a stand along safety makes them kind of dangerous for the novice owner. HnK makes great weapons, but are expensive and not worth it. I carry a Beretta 9000s I have both the .40 and 9mm models and love the 40. Let me know what your looking for and within reason i can probably find it for you.

everyone loves glocks, they arent the greatest guns you know, if i were you i would open your horizon to more things than glock. Its all a matter of what your comfortable with. I have a personal relationship with the owners of Millers guns in New Castle Delaware, and would be more than happy to arrange a trip there when your ready.

You guys seem to be pretty knowledgeable about this, so I will ask..Are you not allowed to buy a handgun with ANY type of felony on your record for as long as you live?? Are there any factors like "time", that will allow you to buy one after awhile or nature of offence or anything like that??
