i just got sparco hood pins, and they dont have the plate.
people are telling me its gona scratch up the hood... true?

Didn't you paint your carbon hood on the sides? Wouldn't you just install them there and if you scratch it, it would be a hard fix?

yea the hood is painted on the sides - where the pins would go.
and no, id rather not have to get it repainted. just trying to avoid the whole situation all together.

waterfest. i dont know. i mean i should... but i probably wont. havent even looked into it yet.

and sadly last night, eric and i drilled my hood. hoodpins are in. they look ok i guess.. but they keep my hood down at high speeds. i made sure. now i feel safe again.

You could probably go to home depot and get some large washers. That might work.

Take the washer, and put some double sided advesive on them and stick them on.

BTW: Its been 2yrs since my last waterfest... Its been 2yrs since the death of my gti........
