Help, Fog Lights

I was trying to install fogs on my 06 civic (si). Going through the factory harness wasn't working so me (long story) and my buddy decided to just splice them into the headlights. Both fogs were already tied together, so we tied that into the passenger headlight harness BEFORE my headlight hid ballast. All worked for about 2 min, then bam, the passenger headlight and both fogs were out. I checked all possible fuses and none were blown. The only thing I can think is that I might have blown my ballast but that doesn't explain why the fogs aren't working considering they were tied in beforehand. I'm not a genius when it comes to this, does anyone know where I went wrong or what could be the issue.

Thanks

It was a fuse. Word of advice, don't check for blown fuses in the dark. I feel pretty stupid after that one

but yeah, I'm assuming splicing in the fog lights pulled to many amps. I replaced the fuse with a slightly larger one and everything seems to work fine.
