arliest picture of my car since I lost them in a computer crash in 2006

My Wyotech days. At this point my rims were painted duplicolor bronze

Ok I lied, this is the earliest. Up in the Pocono's. Spent the whole weekend driving around the snow covered back roads with my other two friends with Rs's. I wanna say 2001.

Ok now to the swap

First delivery Two 4x4 pallets and about 4' high. As I've said before I did a complete swap. Only thing that isn't from an 04' wrx is the shell and my seats.

The beginning of the quest for more power

Everything in and wired up

About to throw the wheels on

Wheels back on then I saw this and had to wait for replacement parts

First start

A lot of blood!!! haha. It always makes you proud when someone asked you who did this or that and you say yourself. Only thing won't do is body work. I'm not patient enough.

Nice, with wiring options out there and way quicker turn around then when I did mine it's almost to easy to do a swap on these cars anymore....unless you actually want to swap out the dash.

The only tune I had for it was the map I currently have. Long story short a friend of a friend had this same exact set up on his swapped legacy, I bought the turbo set up off of him and he wanted the stock turbo set up. Pulled a late night swap and got it done. Got a friend to swap the maps and code them correctly for the right year ecu's then flashed them into each car. The map hasn't been touched since. This turbo has been leaking oil for a while now externally and has seen it's better days. haha

So yes I was tuned on the drag run. I pretty much was inconsistent with launching since I was a little worried about breaking my new gears. My second to last run I said screw it and went full throttle off the launch limiter and got that. Then I got over anxious and my final run of the night I nailed the launch and then missed second. I think I could have eeked out a 12.5 on this set up and tune easily. With a proper tune I'd say closer to lower 12's.

Your car looks pretty clean to me!!! By the end of this week I'll finally have functional coilovers that aren't blown on again and I'm 85% sure I'll be ordering a ver 5/6 "flat" rear bumper for it. Then I can put on my painted rear spats that have been sitting off the car for 4 years. Won't even have to mod them. lol Also working on a trade for a unmolested wingless trunk.

Nice work! I've always liked these swaps because of the fact that there has never been a turbo'd Subaru coupe sold in the US (although that is going to change soon).

I love it for the uniqueness which is why I bought the car in the first place. Not many people knew what Subaru's were then. If the numbers are correct I'll still be lighter then the new coupes coming out so I'll at least have that.....Can't wait till we get one on the lot.

I give you more props for holding onto this thing as long as you have more so than I do for the work put into it. Not very often do you see someone hold onto a "tuner" style car for that long. I know of only a handful of people that have.
