Track day: NJMP Thunderbolt Oct 29th

Hey everyone I have an event group on Facebook planning to go to NJMP on Monday October 29th.

copied from the message on facebook: I am scheduling a track day for anyone interested and going fast (safely!). The price is 300 at walk in, 275 if you register online. the schedule can be found here ( http://www.tracktime4cars.com/schedule.html ). They have info on there about requirements for your car etc. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask. I did this once before with this crew so I understand what goes on. This is on a MONDAY! Please take off of work if you need to. Weekdays are better since there is less amount of cars on the track. You have over 3 months to get the day off. No excuses!

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED! They must be DOT approved. Find a motorcycle friend ;)

I would recommend borrowing a 5 gallon jug to bring fuel. They only have 110 octane at the track at the cost of $10 a gallon. I doubt any of our cars require that, and the closest gas station that is tier 1 is 10-15 miles away.

Again, any questions or concerns please message me

I'll just add that many motorcycle helmets won't cut it because they are not "SA" rated. Most track day sactioning organizations won't accept "M" or "K" rated helmets for use in cars.

For the past 3 years NJMP has had 94 octane unleaded available at the track, including earlier this year. When did they stop selling 94 octane at the track?

My apologies. I was there recently as well showing my girlfriend around and noticed I was incorrect. Regardless, it is still at least $5 a gallon or more!

For the record, 94 octane was $4.89/g as of Monday this week. And there are three gas stations within four miles (<10 minutes) from the track (two Wawas and a Riggins).

It will be myself in a 300hp rx7, my mom in her bmw 335D, a saab 93, 310whp cobalt TC, and a mildly modified miata. there may be a 2012 camara ZL1 if he finishes his engine break in period as well.
