Question Stripes - What Do You Think?

My buddy has a '98 Dodge Dakota R/T. He likes the R/T stripes from the past and current Challengers. As shown here (pardon the large photo):

So, he went ahead and did 'em on his R/T as well. Your opinions?

reminds me of when D shaved lines in the back of his head to look cool but we were all just laughing at how stupid it looked.

Thats just fender hashes, the challengers actually go up to the hood, the truck doesnt pull them off either way

Would look good if the truck was gray, silver, or black... not blue.

The red doesn't fit will with the blue in my opinion. Maybe go back and give it another shot in silver or black, maybe white.

For the record, I'm a fan of stripes...

This. Also red on blue isn't very flattering either. Maybe if they were silver and went up the hood they would look better?

Good concept, poor execution. Use the color of the badging on the sides instead of the red. The badging should also be the end point of the "stripes". A harder angle on the doors wrapping up and onto the hood, ending near the cowl rise. I suck at photoshop or I'd show you what I mean.

If it wasn't for that hood, they would flow much better. The stripes should be a different color to IMO, silver or white would set it off perfectly. I love fender stripes so I'm still a fan, regardless.
