Switching is up. Muscle, Again.

I'm going to start a new build journal, For one of my new cars again. I'm always searching for old mopars, So much so that I spend 5-6 hrs every weekend driving through random back country roads and getting lost for the day in hopes to find old mopars to buy.

I'm stilli in search for a 70' roadrunner/satellite/gtx, So if anyone knew of one forsale in pa/nj/ny/md/va, that needed restoration, I'd buy it.

In the mean time, I will be working on this project of mine now. I have no actual plans for the car, So what ever direction I go, Will more then likly be a last minute decision with each part/mod.

The car is a 1970 2door dart, With the ''scat pack'' scoops ETC. It's currently ''petty blue'' with a black vinyl top, In which the car will be getting color changed shortly.

The car currently has the engine pulled, But was in the car (not the original motor), Is :

T/A 340 Six Pak Block, Bored 30 over with Keith Black Piston's 13:1 Compression, DC 508 lift solid cam, 202 - J Heads, 1350cfm Holly with 1 to 1 linkage (going to be changing this to something larger as I was told the engine is currently under-fuel'd, Rhoads Lifters, Hooker Headers , Windage Tray, Forged Steel Crank, Cloyd's Double Roller Timing Chain. 340 Torker 2 High Rise, Roller Rockers, & Extensive Port Work Done!I've watched it spin 9k aleady in this car before it was pulled.

I know the previous owner of this car, Who had it since the mid 80's.

I will take pictures within the next few days as soon as I re-organize my garage (Moved around 8 caars inside my garage today making room for more and this).

I'm hoping to add alot of pictures and updates within the next week+, So we'll see how that goes.

Quick video of my last dart from the end of 2011. Bought it, Daily drove the car every day, Then re-did the car in ONE day with the help of a very good friend. This one was spur of the moment boredom, For the paint ETC !!

Thanks for the link, I've actually seen that on ebay last month. Unfortunatly that's too much of a project ! I'm finally getting somewhere with my local chinese food delivery guy who has a few old mopars in great shape. he has a 4spd 70rr that i've been trying to get for 10 years and today he finally told me he's considering selling now. When I go back down for more food within the next few days i'm just going to take a bag of money and hope that he accepts it with cash in front of his face.

Other then that, There hasen't been any progress on this original build yet. This coming week when I get back to the garage I'll start taking/uploading photo's. I'm also in the process of now looking for a 70'ish cuda, and a 70'ish challenger (both need to be 4spd cars).

Thank you for that link. Although I still did not get pics of the dart or motor setup, I did just hop on another car I found that i've been looking for, Forever. It's a 70' RR, Factory vitamin c orange, factory airgrabberhood/hood pins, ETC. It originally came with a black vinyl top, Which I just ordered a new one an hour ago so that will be going back on the car aswell. Not sure what my plans are for this car, I've just been looking for one for a long time since my father useto have so many different mopars, And the 70' rr's always stood out the most to me as a really young child.

If I can find more, I'll be inquiring to buy them. I think I'm going to go on an old mopar binge and hopefully find/buy a few so it's something different to look at when i go to my garage!

Wheels' are being replaced. They are 30+ year old keystone wheels.

My old Valiant had 16,000 miles on it when I bought it, sold it with about 17,500.

Nice 72 cuda, 340 I'm guessing.

Thank you all, The car has a 440 in it. I will post a walk around running video within the next day or so. I'm going to re-do the entire car though.

was going to say i know of someone with a couple cars that are in need of good homes, the prices are cheap (1000.00 and under) as they are mostly old field finds and rust is evident. clean titles and a bit of a drive for.
