Photo Contest to Search for TST's new Flyer! Update: New Flyers Printed!

Thanks for everyone's submissions, the contest is now over and we have printed our new flyer. Please see the end of the thread for a photo of the results!

Its time to have new TST flyers made and I'm looking for TST members to submit their best photos.
We may use more than one photo, it depends how things come together.

1) Photo must be of a TST member's car(s)
2) Photo must be high resolution! 300 dpi at 8"x10" or close to that
3) Permission must be given by the photographer to use the photo (whether you submit your own photos or those of someone else)

We will probably be going with a horizontal layout and it is a plus if there is space around the car in the photo to add text (like in the current flyer shown below)

Winner will receive a TST Prize Pack including a TST Hoodie, lanyard, two stickers in the color of their choice, plus a one year "Supporting Member, Silver" membership upgrade with all of the benefits that come along with that!
(winner is determined as the person who took the photo, and in order to claim their prize they must be an active TST member)

i thought contests held prizes for the winner? you are a photographer so you should understand work should be commissioned right? dont tell me the prize is having your car on a flyer either. just my thoughts.

im surprised you dont just use your supra, you are a good photographer plus you have a nice car.

i also think spring time would bring better photos and more willing photographers, and even better cars to come out on the street.

Troll using his own photo work and his own car for his own website? Makes sense...but it also makes him look conceited and unfair. He's giving the TST community a chance at a great opportunity and something fun people can participate in. I can't wait to see what cars will be nominated!

Ha, I do have some clean photos of the Supra that would work and I have thought about it, but I'd really like to see what the community has to offer first. I'd rather see someone else's car on there since I know there are some really great photographers and photos around here.
I just hope that some of those photographers and photos step up and in this thread because I do want to see the best of the best for the flyer.

As far as a prize, thats a good point. I didn't initially call it a contest but then went back and changed it. Sure, I'll be happy to offer a prize to the winner... original post edited to now include:

I am not sure on a period of time for the contest since I am not sure what the response will be to this but we will see how it goes and I will give a few days notice minimum before contest end.

As for the logo, I am really only looking for the photography right now, not the whole flyer design. However if there are any designers who can put something clean and professional looking together somewhere along the lines of the last flyer please let me know!

Isn't their an aerial shot from one of the sonic meets that could be used? The one im particularly remembering is a little to far up in the air but at least it shows diversity and not one members car which could cause issues later (favoritism, parted out, sold, crashed, etc.).

Another suggestion is once the weather clear just get a clean subie/evo/honda/domestic together and get something done. My main goal & idea is the diversity and not brand specific (subaru in particular) which i hear many people complain about when i'm out at shows & meets.

maybe an idea of collage of cars since TST is not brand specific, putting pics of a bunch of hondas, 240's maybe give people the wrong impression that we are an open community?

Lots of great photos so far, thanks for the response and I'm looking forward to seeing what else gets posted.

I know what everyone is posting here isn't high resolution but please make sure you have the original copy in full high resolution on hand for print use.

The idea to show diversity in our cars is great, but on a 5x7 flyer its tough to pull off so we'll see what we have to work with and what is best overall.
