Subaru STI (Just Getting Started With TST)

whats up everyone? Im driving a Black 05 STI.

So far my mod list is kinda small but hope to have it grow soon.

Cobb Access Port 93 Stage 2
Perrin short ram intake
Perrin light weight crank pulley
Perrin catch can
Perrin wing stiffies
Tein stech springs
HKS boost controller running 20psi
HKS turbo timer
AEM Guages (boost, oil pressure, air/fuel)
Hella super tones
Curt class1 tow hitch

I also just ordered a front lip.

For now im running stock down pipe mainly because i cant stand how quiet it is with the stock exhaust. Im planning on getting a turbo back very soon.

That's a small mod list? It's more than what I have.

Welcome...

Isnt the Cobb Stage 2 for if you have an exhaust? I'd double check that to make sure you have the correct map on there... your car might run better and safer with a Stage 1 map.

I'd also let the Cobb set your boost and not use the boost controller for that. The more integrated your system is the better it will work together instead of having multiple independent systems.

Im running just the stock downpipe so I figured that could compensate for an exhaust for now. The cats are probably toast by now so that downpipe is shot.lol..also I didnt know the cobb set different boost levels itself..ill have to try eliminating my controller and see what happens. Thanks for the heads up.

No problem, you can read into the details of each Cobb map to know what exactly they'll do, I'm sure Cobb outlines it on their site or if you contact them directly I'm sure they can help.
As far as which stage map, I wouldn't stray from the intended stages... if Stage 1 is for stock exhaust and that is what you have, then it could be dangerous to run anything different.

Getting a downpipe on there will definitely help out with making some power though, when you're ready to make that happen.
