I can’t remember what magazine I saw this in (Import Tuner perhaps,) however, an aftermarket company just came out with a new intake manifold for the 350Z/G35. Supposedly, it makes decent power considering the 350Z is already maxed out as an NA car, and difficult to build power as is. I’ll flip through my magazines again, but it was recent (either last month or this month.)
If you get a chance, check out Import Tuner. It may be in there. I’m flipping through Modified and Turbo Magazine right now and I don’t see it. Other than that, you need a turbo next! ![]()

Have you done any suspension mods yet? If not, id recommend a good set of adjustable shocks either Koni or Kyb. Power is only good for so much in a car, it needs to be able to handle just as well.

i second this find, i saw this in a recent magazine too. was supposed to add alot of power. im almost postive it was import tuner **EDIT** even tho its like 3am, i flipped through turbo magazine and found the ad. It says Gain Over 60 HP for your VQ35DE. The SSV Extreme Flow Kinetex Manifold . Assuming they are talking about FI along with that. I would expect to see 15-20HP on the NA motor with this upgrade. What about the Valve-Body upgrade for your 5AT? I know that a lot of G's and Z's have done this to give them crisper shifts and an overall better feel from the auto tranny. Something to consider...
Also, id look at some TEIN FLEX w/EDFC and some sways to keep your car glued to the road...if FI is on the way, you DEF want to be fully prepared for that added power by having added control of your car... GLuck ![]()

+1 to coilovers. I just recently upgraded to double-adjustables with camber plates. I haven't done sways yet.. still need to learn the true potential of the suspension itself (track noob here). The difference in "spirted" daily driving is night and day. I don't notice stability control kicking in as early/often, and turns can be taken faster with a better ride quality. Not to mention lowering the car a little bit.
I'm done rambling... good luck with whatever you decide on ![]() |

![]() ![]() PT350... I think the Kinetix intake manifold (plus adding your Utec) is the best option at this point if you’re trying to build more ponies. Even with intake and exhaust on the 350Z, it’s very difficult to find power. If the Kinetix manifold really does build this type of power, it would be the biggest power boost I’ve heard of for a 350Z (minus a turbo of course.) It’s $819 but hey, with the 350, you’ve gotta pay to play anyway. ![]()

cams and cam gears would be a great mod....really spread out your powerband
![]() i've seen the kinetix intake manifold in person and i can tell you it is beautiful...definitely worth picking up....plus it has great gains also if you don't have an safc-II that might not be a bad idea to pick one up and get it tuned as for suspension....i wouldn't go with the Teins personally...there are so many other companies that make a much better coilover than Tein for the Z33 may want to also consider a brake upgrade as for the wing.....i like the nismo wing personally....think the car needs the rest of the kit for that monster wing to look right

if you are done with external then you have to go internal.
All external mods are just going to free up air flow and not give you a crapload of power on a sportscar. Most sportscars are somewhat agressively designed because there is no focus on gas mileage. Thats why you get more power out of a civic by adding an exhaust than 350. Cams and gears would be the next step and shouldnt be that costly considering its just your valve cover and not headwork. The other option is start piecing together your FI kit. Dont go all out on NA only to have to sell all of it when you go FI. Plan ahead. |

if he goes with a supercharger kit though he can keep all his NA mods
![]() as for which cams to get....i would go with a set of cams that isn't geared completely towards NA power (bad for FI) nor is geared completely toward FI power (bad for NA)
